Ghalta, Primal Hunger Commander damage kill

Commander Deck Help forum

So it was recently spoiled that Ghalta, primal hunger will be released in the next set. So Im thinking we use high power low cost creatures like old oak dryads and cards that give double strike to Ghalta to kill with commander damage. I am inexperienced with green commander cards and what cards are an auto include so help is much appreciated. I think this can become a fun and janky way to kill.

For a link that shows the card go here https://www.mtggoldfish.com/articles/rivals-of-ixalan-spoilers-october-30-2017-special-previews

Oops meant to say Exploration not Explore. RazortoothMtg has given you some excellent ideas here as well, I knew about the cardsTempting Wurm and Sheltering Ancient but I just couldn't remember there names when I had made the post.

I will add another card to "Double up to lethal," and that is Hot Soup. Groundbreaker, Primalcrux, Avatar of the Resolute and Nest Invader, might not also be a bad idea.

I'm thinking Gyre Sage, Managorger Hydra, and Predator Ooze could be nice.

Commander attacking with either Pathbreaker Ibex or Craterhoof Behemoth is very likely to be lethal commander damage. Blossoming Defense and Heroic Intervention are both excellent protection to make sure the swing connects as well.

Karametra's Acolyte might be useful. Also how about Primal Forcemage to combo some creatures right into ghalta. How about Rite of Passage and Vigor?

plenty of great creature suggestions so far. i would also suggest Rhonas the Indomitable. also the utility lands Arena and Rogue's Passage.

for land count, i typically go between 30 to 35 depending on how low the average converted mana cost of the cards in the deck, and also include about 5 or 6 continuous ramp such as Sol Ring or Thran Dynamo. Caged Sun and Gauntlet of Power are also solid.

2 of my favorite janky creature cards back when i was a kid could also work in this deck. Thorn Elemental and Skyshroud Behemoth

Speaking of Thorn Elemental, Siege Behemoth could be good.

I've been thinking on the same track about this beastie and commander damage - and what a great community building project we've got going on here to help out!

Ok Anyone who wants to help build the deck go to LittleBlueHero's Ghalta Green Deck. I have been testing it and will put feedback to help build there. Thanks for everyone's help.
