Aggravated Assault as a combo piece
Commander Deck Help forum

As the title suggests, the question I have is about using Aggravated Assault as an engine for comboing out. However the idea is not to use it to take infinite combat steps. The first sentence of the ability is "untap all creatures you control." Given enough mana dorks, this provides an infinite mana outlet.
So the question is this; is Aggravated Assault good enough to use as a combo engine or is it too mana intensive?
For reference, the deck I was thinking about employing it in is:
Overlord Overkill
Commander / EDH*

Do you think it's good enough to warrant a spot in the deck?
Bruse tarl and kydele paradox Engine Jeskai Ascendancy runs this as a third mass untapper, although its not quite as flashy in my opinion.

I like Aggravated Assault . It combos with a bunch of stuff. I have the masterpiece version in my temur elves deck, but it used to be in my wife's Aurelia deck
Bear Umbra
Grand Warlord Radha
Nature's Will
Neheb, the Eternal
Savage Ventmaw
Selvala, Heart of the Wilds
Sword of Feast and Famine
Wirewood Channeler
I'm sure there's others I'm missing haha

IAmTheWraith: That's the biggest concern I have with the combo - effectively needing triple red to hit WUBRG. I'm thinking it could work, but it might be more fitting in a Thrasios, Triton Hero + Vial Smasher the Fierce deck where your main focus is just infinite mana. Also, having one less colour seems like an easier way to combo out.
IMMG54: I think I'd go for Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter first :P
greyninja: Yes, all of those combo with Aggravated Assault . But I was more looking into the viability of just using it as a one stop shop for untapping creatures (basically to gain infinite mana). If it did this effectively enough then I don't really care about the extra combat steps part of it. I mean, it's nice and all but other than maybe a Slip Through Space I'm not even focusing on the second part of the ability.

enpc as long as one of your dorks is Bloom Tender , you only need 2 other dorks to make infinite WUBRG

Well, interesting question.
So theoretically, yes you could. Just by naming cards in your deck, Bloom Tender +any dork that taps for red+your commander in play is infinite colored mana (besides ).
Oh, if you use Bloom Tender + Kiora's Follower + Sliver Overlord with AA in play makes infinite mana quicker, still no red though.
With that being said, it's probably not too mana intensive, but I'm just a tad concerned about its consistency. But, if it's something you want to try out, by all means go for it!
Also, it gives infinite combat steps ;)
