I am currently an amateur musician, and want to eventually create music as a hobby that I may turn into a side-job. My real name is J.C. Robertson, and I am making a youtube channel.

I wanted to ask the community to rate some of my M:TG themed music, specifically based around keywords:

Milling - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4va4nq_sfY

Hexproof - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqZEIlRKgpI

Blue - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1KWIgkLk9I

Don't worry about insulting everything about these songs, I know I am bad, that's why I want the criticism to improve!

I'm using the site via mobile phone, and although I really want to listen to your songs, I can't find them in the youtube app. Any ideas on how to find your channel?

TypicalTimmy I don't know what you are talking about... but okay? (EDIT: Clicked the link, for a sec I thought it was a decklist! Ty for inspiration!)

seshiro_of_the_orochi My videos are currently unlisted, but not privated, I recommend pasting the links into a search engine, it should redirect you to the app with the video playing!

@TypicalTimmy uploaded a new song called Tempo, named because that comment. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwVVRElLxAs

I'll make an aggro, and midrange song later, as well as a control and combo one!

I actually found this tiny metal band called Grave Titan who name a lot of their songs (and their band name!) after MtG cards. If you're looking for inspiration/want to check them out here's their Spotify. Not really to my music taste but perhaps to you guys' - at the very least the fact a song of theirs is called Goblin Grenade is pretty awesome.

I really liked Milling. Really chill vibes. Are you playing the guitar yourself or is it a sample? Im really into music production myself, any VSTs or plugins you would recommend? I can recommend anything really from Output, i love their stuff. Also Serum of course. Splice is a nice place to find samples. Ozone 9 is really nice for mastering, and Landr works pretty well and its subscription based so you dont need to invest alot at once. What DAW are you using?

Not to hijack your thread, but here is my music if you are interested: https://soundcloud.com/jensmansson
I used to do Magic inspired music as well, but its pretty far down my feed now :).

Also made 2 music videos. They are unlisted tho since i dont have the rights to the footage..
