So I arrived at work at noon. Entire industrial complex was evacuated except for a company called DAWN who signed a waiver to continue working. Mr. Bossman told me to stay put and we will begin work once the all-clear is given. So I'm on the clock now for an hour and a half, the only person (lest DAWN) in the entire complex.

Apparently the disgruntled employee (not one of ours), was being fired over the phone. Told not to come in. I guess he said he will blow their building up, than later actually showed up and got into a fight. Naturally they took his appearance and threats seriously.

During the preliminary sweep with dogs to sniff out various explosive materials, the dogs ACTUALLY FOUND SOMETHING.

We are not told what they found. Could be drugs, could be a false positive, could be actual explosive materials. We don't know and likely won't know except through the rumor mill.

Mr. Bossman asked me to stay put and wait for the go-ahead, so here I sit. I'd honestly rather go home and we simply shut down for the day, but being paid to do literally nothing is also a good plan, too.

RNR_Gaming, "arena can be played on most Androids"

Fed confirmed. How'd you know I have an Android??

Actually serious. Jokingly, of course. But I do. Did something give it away?

KYOCERA Duraforce Pro Series 2. Literally marketed as a "military grade phone".

It survives heavy impact, submersion, magnetic fields, shocks, extreme temperature and more. I got it since I live in factories, I don't want the machinery or my tools to break it.

An iPhone will shatter when you look at it wrong. My brick fell off a forklift and got ran over with zero damage. Not even a crack. But to be fair by "ran over", I mean I was backed over during a slow reverse turn. Back tire clipped it and ran over about 1/5th of it. But again, not even a crack in my screen. I have fun whenever someone asks me on the floor why I don't have an iPhone, so I explain it. They don't believe me so I chuck it across the concrete and let it bounce and skid. I grab it, give it to them and say "Do that with yours."

Lololol

Androids are more elegant and durable, but just slightly worse in all other areas of function. All my Android friends are surprised when they see all I can do on my iPhone 6 ;)

Omniscience_is_life but can it survive (without a special case) having a claw hammer tossed onto it within a toolbox? ;) Or did they not come out with that update, yet? Lol

It's just what I notice at most events. Of course I'm east coast so maybe that's why I see more androids. Not a lot over here to make use of the cameras on those iPhones.

RNR_Gaming, you mean you don't like snapping photos of grey skies, grey water, grey buildings and industrial smog? Haha.

No I understand that's only a very small portion of the entire East coast. I'm just being a butthead.

A lot of dogs are (or used to be) trained on tennis balls in addition to whatever they’re supposed to find... so maybe there’s a tennis enthusiast present ;p

Sounds like you had a wild day. Today I found out that my child , who was originally due to be born in mid October, is almost guaranteed to be born in September, as soon as next week. So I am stressed AF.

Hopefully he'll be alright. Might have to spend some time in the NICU. And of course he's my first, so I am already a panicky mess. Pre eclampsia is what it is. I'm optimistic though.

Twenty-one years ago, EleshNornsFs, my second daughter was due in mid-October and born 31 August. She was in the NICU for a month, but she is strong, healthy--and grown up and married and pregnant!

Hang in there!
