I first saw Zurgo in the Duel Decks and thought he was cool. I couldnt find a place for him though. Until, that is, i realized two things. First, that he's indestructible on my turn, and secondly that his power is 7. The former is important because it begs for the inclusion of plenty of wraths. Why bother with single target removal? just wipe the board every turn. The fact that his power is 7 is quite possibly the most important thing about him. In EDH, dealing 21 damage with a single commander kills an opponent. For Zurgo, thats 3 turns. Now how can we abuse this? By including equipments that pump him, and spells that give him double strike. Giving him +4, and double strike will mean youre swinging with 22 damage. Throw in a few cards that give him unblockable, and thats a One Turn Kill. The only down side is that this draws lots of aggro from the rest of the table. But thats where the mass removal comes in handy. This deck is Fast, and it needs to be. The main win cons here are Worldslayer and Assault Suit. Worldslayer, if you deal combat damage, will destroy every permanent on the table except zurgo and itself. Which means every subsequent turn you can keep swinging, and nobody can even keep a single land on the table. The Assault suit does something unique with Zurgo. Not only does it pass him around the table, forcing your enemies to kill eachother, but because its always Zurgo's controller's turn, he is Always indestructible.
