This is my post-Midnight Hunt Zombie decklist for Modern. Push in some early damage with some good ol zombie tribal synergy making use of the classics like Relentless Dead and Death Baron, and new cards like Champion of the Perished (the best human one drop turned zombie) and Bladestitched Skaab (zombie’s first 2 drop lord).

If the game goes long, and you find you can’t push through any more damage, you can switch to the aristocrat plan, using Carrion Feeder to sac Gravecrawler over and over again (growing both the Carrion Feeder and any Champion of the Perished you may happen to have out), while also triggering any of your Diregraf Captain and/or Plague Belcher to drain your opponent out of the game. Both of these 3 drops are good in the beat-face plan (as a lord and an aggressively costed 5/4 with evasion) but they also provide this aristocrat back up plan, should you need it.

As a specific note related to Plague Belcher, you can make it’s ETB effect fizzle by targeting something but then sacrificing it to Carrion Feeder in response. If the thing you targeted was Gravecrawler, congrats, you have lost nothing!

NOTE: I know the sideboard is a little odd, still working on that :)
