Here he is, the shining star of the Glimmervoid, Zabaz! Look at that little guy; isn't he cute?

This is a modular creature/combo budget deck that can win in a few ways. You can try and go all in with the modular creatures (fun), go Voltron with Jabaz off of those creatures (also fun), or combo out with the Basalt/Brighthearth/Zirda combo through a couple infinite damage outlets (or tokens, in the case of Hangarback Walker . Just sac it to Zabaz!) That last one is, believe it or not, pretty fun. The fastest I've ever gotten a win in the playtester is turn 5 (can get it down to turn 4). It involves you curving early into Basalt/Brighthearth/Zirda and either having or drawing into Hangarback or Walking Ballista . Hangarback needs a turn so the tokens it makes can swing, but Ballista can kill right then.

Now, this is a budget deck. Or, it's supposed to be. I owned an Enlightened Tutor from way back and that thing SPIKED. Yikes. If you cut that, the deck drops to $100~, which isn't so bad. There are enough ways to get things going without it. The only other big expensive card I plan to swap in is Arcbound Ravager for obvious reasons. I'll probably swap it out for Makeshift Munitions .

If you've got better ideas for Boros card draw, hit me up! I'm still trying to hit the right balance (I think the deck is pretty decent for a casual table right now), but if I can make it a teeny bit more efficent I'd like that!

Would this deck be better with Zirda at the helm? Probably, but I like Zabaz!
