You're not looking to roll the dice. You're not here to make friends or play politics. You are here to set up to drain the table as quickly as you can with a commander that always freaking costs 2. How much disruption do you have? Because my commander will always cost two and threaten to hit like a tank.

This version of Yuriko is built to find and then flip with Yuriko a handful of expensive spells as fast as possible. Cards with high CMCs but cost-reduction effects are cut down to a bare minimum for consistency; Mulldrifter, Street Wraith, Misdirection, Treasure Cruise, Dig Through Time, Rags // Riches, and Emrakul, the Promised End were cut. This version is aiming for a lot of card drawing with some small drains (1-2 life) followed by a couple large drains (10-16), rather than built to hit a lot of medium drains.

Scroll Rack costs $$$ and redundancy of that effect is important besides for reusing a handful of large drain cards, so in come Dream Cache, Conch Horn, and Riverwise Augur, plus Brainstorm of course. Find Commit//Memory, Temporal Trespass, or Draco (usually Draco) with Mystical Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Lim-Dul's Vault or Insidious Dreams and drain for 10-16, then do it again with this suite of top-o'-the-library-manipulation cards and the table should fall in short order.

Ninjas are very weak without evasive creatures to ninjutsu with, and moreover require help after their first hit to ever hit a second time. Often you stumble and end up with only 1 or 2 out of 3 ways to make this relationship hum, which is a bummer. So rather than try to make room for an A + B + C plan of evasive creatures + ninjas + ways to make ninjas evasive (or bounce them), I cut basically all ninjas from the 99, added a few more evasive 1-drops and maximized Arcane Adaptation effects. You should never lack for A and Yuriko provides B while you dig for Arcane Adaptation effects, which turn each A piece into an ABC!
