Because that's exactly what we want. A 7 hour game over the course of 3 days.

So last year, I uploaded an Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim deck. I called it 'Throwback Thursday: Cleric Edition' It was a cobbled together recreation of an old kitchen table deck, with a distinct lack of it's win-cons. Ultimately I ended up tearing it apart, deleting the deck on here, and leaving it on the back burner.

Until recently, that is. When my LGS had, for the first time in a decade, a copy, albeit an LP copy, of Test of Endurance . The primary win-con of my old deck. Add to that the cleric support in Zendikar Rising and Kaldheim, and I was ready to rebuild.

The deck still uses Vile Deacon and Doubtless One to smash face, but now with things like Taborax, Hope's Demise Athreos, God of Passage and Orah, Skyclave Heirophant can also be very aristrocrats-y as well. It plays pretty simple. Keep my life high, make tokens for blocking, passive buffing, or sacrificing for gains. Win with my life total.

Eventually, once I can afford it, there will also be an Aetherflux Reservoir as a second win through life line of play.
