This is a cruel politics deck: it is not fun to play against, I tell my opponents this. It's also not incredibly powerful, it uses Yidris as a value engine in order to stay slightly ahead of opponents in a war of attrition for long enough that double strike commander damage on a 5/4 trampling body will do the job (it also includes win conditions in the form of soft locks and parity breaks).

Cruel Ultimatum is a good cast in this deck that allows for making enemies with one specific player at a time, this is useful because it minimizes the incentive for interaction by countermagic (likely, only the targeted player would feel good about spending a card to counter it). From there the aim is to cascade into additional value (either card advantage or stax pieces) which the deck can almost always work around, with the exception of the Sands of Time and Eon Hub lock (at first).

If you cascade into either of the aforementioned lock pieces, it's very important to hold off on casting (or cascading into) the other until you know you can win the game (yes it's a stax deck but don't use it to just create a stalemate like a dingus).

Typically, you'll know when you're ready to fire off if you have Curse of Bounty in play (targeting yourself), Ydris has toughness high enough to survive Wildfire or Burning of Xinye and you can add at least 10 coloured mana to your mana pool during your postcombat main phase on a turn when Ydris' ability has triggered.

So yeah, lots of hoops to jump through. Yidris just wants to yodel!
