The idea of this deck is to play spells for free, and while I realize I'm not running some of the Cascade staples like Bituminous Blast , Deny Reality , Bloodbraid Elf , it's because those aren't necessarily hitting the things we really want to cast for free.

So, obviously, we're trying to smash face with Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder , take more turns, play free spells, and most likely win through commander damage. In a way, this deck is a bit of a glass cannon built around Yidris, but it can have very powerful results.

We want to do some basic ramping in early turns, Kodama's Reach , Farseek , into bigger spells, most particularly Mana Reflection . That obviously have really explosive results, especially if you can cast just a couple spells before you cast a Mind's Desire . In many scenarios, I have been able to cast Mind's Desire with a storm count of five or six, and that is almost always enough to power your opponent out of the game, and there's an Aetherflux Reservoir to make sure it's enough.

Sylvan Library , Sensei's Divining Top and Scroll Rack all allow us to manipulate the top of our library to cascade extremely efficiently.

Thassa, God of the Sea , Whispersilk Cloak make yidris unblockable, Raging River makes it harder to block, and honestly, that card just has a special place in my heart because it's super silly, and Sword of Feast and Famine also makes it harder to block.

Sword of Feast and Famine also is a key piece to our other theme. I do not run Aggravated Assault in this deck, it would be a very easy way to win, and this deck is really made to do something more flashy and convoluted.

Plenty of take extra turn spells make sure that we're able to systematically stomp out each opponent at the table. The deck tends to play very quickly, and while it does have the ability to pull through the mid to late game, it definitely shines brightest early on.

The name of the game is getting out Yidris as quickly as possible and playing as many big spells with cascade as we can, all the while having ways to disrupt our opponent and refuel our hand.
