The old list and cheeky comments are preserved here for posterity:

You know when you go to the Dim Sum spot, and the hostess takes you back to the inner sanctum - even though you got a white guy with you - and she doesn't even waste your time with forks? You know when the white guy knows all the Chinese names for the dumplings, and you wink at the waitress, so they give you extra egg custard buns? You know when that waitress challenges you to a game of EDH in a final showdown of Chinese vs. Vietnamese supremacy, wagering her $10,000 deck AND her hand in marriage, and then you beat her ass with a colorless commander to reinforce an important lesson about the senselessness of ethnic stereotyping? Yeah, that's exactly what we're talking about here.

This big-mana battlecruiser rose from the ashes of my Gonti, Lord of Luxury deck. His Lordship had been my first stab at mono-black and was a popular choice around the table, but after a while it became abundantly clear that I really just wanted to play weird artifact shenanigans. I finally decided to go all in on the idea, dropping the deck's 20 or so black cards and bolstering my hefty serving of artifacts to a total of 55! Each are cogs in at least one convoluted combo or another, typically involving tapping and untapping things and stockpiling of mana towards the casting of several late-game bombs.

OG Kozilek provides an unparalleled draw engine in the command zone and was the obvious choice for what revealed itself to be a subconscious effort to build a strong, fast deck to replace the Krenko, Mob Boss -helmed one I had sold. What's more, choosing a commander with no color identity also helped maintain the color pie balance of my decks that my personal compulsions demand. Selecting the mana base for an all- build was an absolute delight, and I continue to tinker here and there given the many options. Kozilek chooses the foil printing wherever possible (Box Toppers are for SUCKAS!) Like my Esper Control deck, The Minimal School of ErTaiChi, at Water's Edge, this deck embraces many alternate art judge promos. I also keep a cheeky little silver-bordered sideboard for opponents opposed to fast mana. I'm happy to set aside Sol Ring and Crypt, but know you'll be facing down Ashnod's Coupon and my Super Secret Tech !
