This is an optimised commander deck centered around sacrificing your own creatures. Your game plan is to use Yawgmoth, thran physician's sacrifice ability to draw cards and get value while you work towards your win conditions. In the process, you will need to control the board with cards like Dictate of Erebos , Grave Pact , Dead of Winter , or Mutilate , as well as effects like Curtains' Call or Big Game Hunter . Yawgmoth's second ability can get rid of small creatures.

There are two main wincons in this deck:

Big mana spells such as Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire which are more effective thanks to your opponents being wore down due to Blood Artist effects. Cards like Cabal Coffers + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth , Babbling Muck, Crypt of Agadeem , Magus of the Coffers , Cabal Stronghold , Crypt Ghast , Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx or Extra planar lens help with this strategie.

The most usually wincon, combos: Despite usually needing several pieces,the big amount of tutors and the fact that the different combo pieces work well individually with the deck make it smooth and easy to pull them off. Also, there is a lot of redundancy in the deck. The great variety of combos gives you different angles to attack your opponents:

Blood Artist effects: Blood Artist , Zulaport Cutthroat , Falkenrath Noble and Vindictive Vampire .

Reassembling Skeleton effects: Reassembling Skeleton , Bloodsoaked Champion and Tenacious Dead .

Pawn of Ulamog effects: Pawn of Ulamog , Sifter of Skulls , Ogre Slumlord and Open the Graves

The main combos in the deck are:

A Reassembling Skeleton effect + Phyrexian Altar + a Pawn of Ulamog effect + a Blood Artist effect / Bitter Ordeal .

Priest of Gix + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar + Nim Deathmantle + a Blood Artist effect / Bitter Ordeal .

Any creature + Ashnod's Altar + a Pawn of Ulamog effect + Nim Deathmantle + a Blood Artist effect / Bitter Ordeal .

Gerald's messenger + Butcher Ghoul + Yawgmoth, Thran Physician + a Blood Artist effect. Notice that this can also be achieved with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed .

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Triskelion

Some of these can also generate infinite mana, that can be used for the first kind of win conditions, in case you are lacking a Blood Artist effect / Bitter Ordeal .
