A quick rundown of the deck..

The minute I saw Atraxa spoiled I knew I wanted to make her into a Superfriends deck! Lucky me, I actually already had an Abzan superfriends deck lying around that sure would love a splash of blue.

A reliable poliferate effect is incredibly useful when working with planeswalkers and with a laundry list of keywords (the most important being "vigilance" and "lifelink" for this build) made her the perfect commander. Decent CMC as well.

Lastly, I understand that there are probably better ways to make a deck like this. Some believe that the ideal way to make a superfriends EDH deck is as follows:

10 ramp 10 removal 8 enablers 8 creatures 8 enchatnments 20 planeswalkers

However, I decided I wanted to make this a more casual fun deck and go all in on planeswalkers -- which is why it is filled to the brim with them! Instead of trying to protect a few planeswalkers, why not just throw a bunch of them at my opponents and see if they can get through? If they can reliably kill all of them (and me), they probably deserve the win.

1. Setting up the fort.

This deck loves to have humble beginnings. I suspect that with the hype that Atraxa has gotten, she will soon become an immediate target. Personally, I'm fine with it if it means opponents will waste their kill spells on something I can easily recur vs. some of our planeswalkers. Now is a good time to set up some low-costed enchantments such as Phyrexian Arena and Oath of Nissa that will increase the probability of us recruiting planeswalkers and making them easier to cast.

2. Cannon Fodder

Whenever a planeswalker gets spoiled what's the first thing everyone brings up? They all ask, can it defend itself? For the most part, the planeswalkers I have selected for this deck can defend themselves but for good measure I have included a plethora of token generation such as Bitterblossom, Awakening Zone and Luminarch Ascension to protect our planeswalkers. As an added bonus, these cards tend to attract a fair amount of hate, which often distracts opponents from the real threats..

3. Ultimate

With Doubling Season out, this deck is almost unstoppable because many of our planeswalkers can ultimate the turn they come out. But to win, Ultimate planeswalkers and get emblems that cannot be removed and victory is assured.

As always, +1's and suggestions are appreciated!

Disclaimer: Pod/House rules includes no mass land destruction and 20 infect damage instead of 10, so please keep that in mind when making suggestions, thanks!
