Lord Windgrace actually cares about lands now. Lots of value, plenty of graveyard shenanigans.

BIG UPDATE

I was originally down on Lord Windgrace. In all appearances he seems to just be a worse Gitrog Monster deck that coincidentally had Omnath, Locus of Rage. After looking deeper into what Red had to offer the lands archetype, and also some test games in the current iteration, I realized Lord Windgrace works better at recurring lands than anything, which led me to the conclusion that the best way to competitively build Lord Landgrace is Mass Land Destruction. Windgrace can recover far more quickly from MLD, stays on the battlefield through an Obliterate or Jokulhaups (both of which work really well if you have a World Shaper on the battlefield). In addition, I've upgraded the land destruction lands to Strip Mine, Tectonic Edge, and Dust Bowl. I might try to get a Wasteland in but that's expensive. Thanks, Legacy.

I'm also looking for alternative wincons to MLD. I currently run one Torment of Hailfire, which won me the first game I played the old iteration of this deck with a torment with an X in the 70s (sacrificing and replaying a Cabal Coffers for multiple activations). I might try adding an Exsanguinate or other similar effect, perhaps a Helix Pinnacle for fun.

Obviously MLD isn't for everyone, and a lot of people will hate it. My local meta is very powerful, and borderline cEDH, so I feel comfortable playing it when we're playing higher level games.

I have a sideboard to remove the MLD, in case people object to it. I am going to add another list on here showing the post sideboarded deck.

Cards out: World Shaper, Splendid Reclamation, The Mending of Dominaria, Epicenter, Jokulhaups, Obliterate, Decree of Annihilation, Tectonic Break, Zuran Orb, Price of Glory

Cards in: See Sideboard

I feel like i can move Sylvan Safekeeper to the sideboard.

Updates Add

So I was going to hold off until the end of spoilers but then they had to go and spoil Nahiri's Lithoforming. I have been waffling for a long time on whether to include a Scapeshift line. It is powerful, but dillutes my gameplan. I would have scapeshift, MLD, and Landfall creatures, and could potentially disrupt the smoothness. With the printing of Lithoforming, and Valakut Exploration it just seems too obvious now that a Scapeshift plan, even at the cost of my weakest MLD in Epicenter and Tectonic Break is worth the inclusion. Scapeshift at least synergises heavily with the mass land recursion strategy of the MLD plan. Scapeshift now has 3 win conditions in Valakut Exploration, Field of the Dead, and Valakut.

Mina and Denn, Wildborn out for Dryad of the Ilysian Grove. I am going to try and get my hands on a Oracle of Mul Daya to replace Courser of Kruphix with.

Sheltered Thicket out for Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle. I do hate that Valakut is a land I basically never want to draw, but I guess i can live with that.
