This deck is more of a way of life than anything else. Playing this deck has taught to fully reject material goods in favor of a quiet life of contemplation of my own existence. The great Buddha once said "If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down". Well with this deck, you will be forced to repeatedly give up on everything that you have built up, and then in the end, once you have 10 gates, you will fly into the higher realm of enlightened beings.

I know that this may be hard for you. Once you have an Azusa, Lost but Seeking paired with a Voyaging Satyr and a Kiora's Follower giving you three gates per turn, you may find it difficult to wipe it all away. But you must treat each explosion of the magic space baby we so humbly ask to be our commander as a fresh new beginning. I do not ask you to flippantly kill your faithful servants without a thought, but nor should you withhold the wipe, just as you do not withhold FeBreze bacterial disinfectant after having become attached to the odd stain that is growing on your bedside table. Instead you must treat their passing with respect, thank them for their service, and then move on to the next main phase.

The great Buddha once said “The root of all suffering is attachment". To play this deck you must fully embrace this teaching, not only while playing a game of commander but also in life. To truly master this deck I gave all of my belongings to charity before embarking on a pilgrimage to the 10 largest gates of this world and I now reside in a temple with my fellow Child of Alara disciples and only 100 pieces of cardboard to my name.

So, will you embrace this way of life and magic? Or will you continue to get salty every time someone casts Planar Cleansing on the massive boardstate that you completely over-committed and dumped your entire hand onto? This choice I leave up to you, but remember that I will be waiting for you to join me and my fellow monks so that we can revel in enlightenment together.

You may ask me why, after all this preaching of rejecting material goods, I chose to make a deck costing over 10000$. And to this I say, I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be. To claim perfection is to admit vanity and mediocrity. I aspire to one day be able to worship purely in the mind, and to be so in sync with my fellow people that we can play games of EDH instantaneously with just a glance so that we overcome the need for a physical deck of cards. Unfortunately, I am limited by my mortal mind and so require cardboard to continue on my journey to Nirvana, and so I made the decision to not be bothered by things like 'cost', or 'budget' and instead focus purely on experiencing the deck in its best possible form.
