When Souls are Set Ablaze

Modern Aggro Burn Lifegain RW (Boros)

crexalbo

Sideboard

Named after its cornerstone card, Soulfire Grand Master, the purpose of this deck is to burn out your opponent while maintaining a reasonably high life total. Unlike pure burn, which doesn't care about its own life total, soulburn is designed to maintain as much distance as possible between your and your opponents' life totals. It focuses on dealing damage while healing at the same time, and thereby increasing the efficiency of your burn spells, simultaneously putting pressure on your opponent while making it progressively more difficult for them to kill you.

I am seeking help fine-tuning this deck idea. I am currently trying to find possible replacements for Boros Reckoner, and will also consider any other suggestions for card replacements. I would also like suggestions for whether or not i should splash another color, possibly black. Thanks for your feedback!

Updates Add

I wasn't even aware that Splinter Twin had a Boros variant. This deck used Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Restoration Angel and Splinter Twin + Village Bell-Ringer to make infinite tokens.

Game 1:
A Blood Moon mainboarded in my opponent's deck (which i was not expecting) kept me from finishing him off with a Lightning Helix and Boros Charm. A Blade Splicer + Restoration Angel combo kept me from attacking with my creatures, while Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker ended the game.

Sideboard:
-3 Searing Blaze
-3 Boros Reckoner
-3 Deflecting Palm
-3 Young Pyromancer
+4 Blasphemous Act
+4 Path to Exile
+4 Hide / Seek
I would have liked to see Path this game. That would have been lovely.

Game 2:
Now Sanctimony is a card i've never seen before, but looks incredibly useful. It traded with a Hide / Seek, but it did gain him one life. I ended up having Blasphemous Act in hand the entire game, doing absolutely nothing, while my opponent played out his Splinter Twin + Village Bell-Ringer combo.

Summary:
I miss Holy Day. I added it back in. One of those in hand might have won me the game.
