Background Show

The first time I was invited to play EDH, it was a little bit of a disaster lol. The group I was with was friendly and great, the issue was more so me and my deck. The invitation was last minute and in the preceding hours, I'd attempted to adapt my casual Modern UB faeries deck with Oona, Queen of the Fae as the commander with stuff I already had. The group I think felt bad for me, they kind of ignored my board seeing as it was not a threat whatsoever lol, just so I could watch and learn. As much as I tried to learn from them, I really had no idea what was going on and was having trouble following all the interactions in that group of six. I remember buying the Prosh, Skyraider of Kher Commander deck at the store where we were playing for the next game (and to get a better idea of how to build a deck for next time lol), but that first game went on for too long and I had to get to work. Around that time, my work schedule massively changed and I never had time to play with that group again. For some reason after that I had it in my head for years that I just didn't like Commander. The Prosh deck sat in storage for many years untouched, but it has found a new home in the hands of my partner who was absolutely ecstatic to have it. :)

Digressing, when we got into Commander, I thought about building an Oona deck again, a real EDH deck this time lol. Then Alela, Artful Provocateur was spoiled shortly thereafter and I found a new love to lead my army of faeries. The foundation of this deck is from the Alela brawl deck that was released a few years ago with additions and adaptations.

Sadly in the many moves I've had over the years, my original UB faeries deck was lost (confirmed lost) so it's taken quite a lot of time to replace some of those cards which has since gone up substantially. Losing Bitterblossom was worst. When our LGS had one of the originals from Morningtide show up, that was one of the first I snapped up for this deck. Maybeboard is for the most part, lost card. Not all of it, but most. I'll get there eventually.

Anyway, on a happier note, I absolutely love playing Alela and it's been really fun adapting this brawl deck so far.

tl;dr - first time playing commander was a pile of cards led by Oona, Queen of the Fae . This is my second attempt at a faeries deck, adapted from the Alela, Artful Provocateur Brawl deck, decklist found here which another user has provided . Gradually replacing lost cards from that former UB faeries deck as well as upgrading others.
