"Welcome to the jungle. -Tested"

**Prototype**

Welcome to the Jungle, a deck based on Essence of the wilds! I really love the card, and always wanted a deck that could make it work but no one really spent the time testing and changing a list. Till now. My list has had heaps of testing, and is winning most of its games. It has a tested sideboard vs popular meta decks and seems to steamroll decks not running black. I'd say a good 2 weeks of testing went into this deck. And unlike some decks, this deck is crazy fun to play. It can do some very broken things. Now onto some of my card choices. I'll add that some of the mainboard slots are designed with the sideboard in mind. Essence of the Wild The card that makes the deck far better then its standard ramp counterparts. The levels of synergy within the deck is mental. Play a batterskull, get a 10/10 Vig/Lifelink. Play a Timely Reinforcements, get 18 power and 6 life for 3 mana Mortarpod = WILD Thraben Doomslayer = GG, they either check this, or they lose. I used to have hero of bladehold, maybe the solems want to be a hero but in testing, Thraben was the card winning most of my games. Tapping to make a 6/6 is broken, the deck cannot work without this card. Garruk Relentless - Actually very core, I barley ever flip him but its the wolf production that is important here. He keeps the deck on curve and can even search out the wild if you are having a bad game. He is very good. White Sun's Zenith and Green Suns's Zenith = Mana sinks, sometimes, you have heaps of mana but no essence to spend it on. Sometimes you can just blow them right out of the water with a White sun. If you had a essence on the wild at the time, no way they are coming back from that without a field wipe. Sideboard: Crushing Vines = Deck needs this card in the side, I bring it in all the time. Heaps of flyers and artifacts in the meta right now, deck has a major problem with both. You need this. Genesis Wave = Interesting card for a sideboard right? Bring it in vs control or other ramp decks. No one ever expects it. If you do bring it in, might pay to sideboard in the orbs and myrs. More permanents the better. Perilous Myr = For white humans that use mirran. Deck has a big problem with him. For that matchup, make sure you target there enchantments. Shrine of the Loyal Legions = Gives the deck flexabitiy of not being totally dead to board wipes. Maybe you want Orgin spellbomb instead, its personal. I like Shrine because it gives me more. Stingerfling Spider = Anit flyer greensun target. Has a big tough body to block the ground other flying dudes. Pretty good vs Delver. Surgical Extraction = Only run one in the side, this number is going change depending on how many of a hate card wizards printed is in your meta game. More on this later. Urgent Exorcism = This is great. Use it vs heartless, Humans, Spirits and other decks that are using Oring. Witchbane orb. Stops red slowly burning you out, stops black decks cursing you. Run 2 in the side always. Now, back to Surgical. One card in the meta that this deck NEVER wants to see is Sever the Bloodline, its a real problem and you need to play around it game 2 if they have black. Its the bane of the deck. Almost like it was printed just to stop Essence from taking over the meta. Enjoy and remember to vote it up and leave a comment.
