Making Worldfire work

Now that Worldfire has been unbanned, I decided that it's time to be the guy in my pod that sets it up. I am known to be someone that likes stupid concepts but somehow pulls them off, so with great interest I cracked my knuckles and waded down into the slop.

How to Win Show

Now obviously the primary win condition of this deck is somehow pulling it out of a game resetting cast of Worldfire, but because it exiles the everything it can be a little challenging. I hate plays that reset the board state and cause a 2-10 turn total stop while people wait for a top deck win, so we will avoid that as much as possible here.

Firstly, we must cast Worldfire with the stack set up to give us the win. The easiest way we can do this is with something like an ETB effect that causes 1 damage to all opponents. i.e. Goblin Chainwhirler Now you may be asking, "But ShammySL, if I exiled my hand and graveyard how will I play such an ETB effect?" Excellent question dear reader! This is where the fun begins!

This can be done in a variety of ways, the simplest being to cast Oblivion Ring targeting Goblin Chainwhirler then cast Worldfire, done and done. Worldfire comes in, changing all players' life totals to 1 and exiles the everything. Oblivion ring gets exiled which brings the Goblin Chainwhirler back into play, which deals 1 damage to all opponents and so you have won. Perfect.

This can all be accomplished through a couple swap outs for the Oblivion Ring and the Goblin Chainwhirler as you may note through the deck list. You can even do something like a Otherworldly Journey on the Goblin Chainwhirler then cast the Worldfire and done.

Now obviously we cant only rely on these large multicard win conditions to always come through for us, so we have a simple win with our beautiful commander, Jeska, Thrice Reborn. If you are staring down three or less opponents left alive then all you have to do is make sure you have the twelve mana stuffed up all in your pool to play the Worldfire then play the Jeska. Activate her -X ability to do 1 damage to up to three opponents and boom boom, a win.
