A deck where it's entire purpose is to prevent damage and then throw it back into the opponent's face.

So this deck was built after thinking of ways to break Deflecting Palm, which is already pretty good on its own. That already set me into Boros, but after talking with some friends, we worked our way into Jeskai.

WINCONS

We have 2 major wincons in the deck:

1) Pure Commander damage from Elsha.

2) Reflecting and doubling damage from multiple sources.

The first one is relatively simple. Sling spells, pump Elsha, swing in, and use damage doublers such as Furnace of Rath, Dictate of the Twin Gods, Angrath's Marauders to really kill opponents with it. With Vedalken Orrery, we can flash in all our damage doublers before combat damage. This also lets us hold up Mana for counterspells on turns where we're not killing people.

The second wincon is much more fun. Deflecting Palm is fun, but what about Boros Reckoner and Truefire Captain? What about Boros Reckoner, Truefire Captain, AND A big damage boardwipe like Blasphemous Act? How about we go one higher and play Star of Extinction? With all our damage doublers, we can absolutely kill people with this combo. It's convoluted, but it's hella fun. How about Combustible Gearhulk and shooting people for a million with it's ETB trigger? Banefire for lethal and copy it several times with Naru Neha and Repeated Reverberation. We're looking to go big or go home. We have plenty of spell copiers and redirecters, which includes Fork, Repeated Reverberation, Narset's Reversal, and Gideon's Sacrifice.

MANABASE/RAMP

Our manabase is super expensive and tuned, with every fetchland that can get either an Island, Mountain, or Plains, along with OG dual lands. With only a few manarocks in the deck, hitting land drops is essential. Another way we can ramp is to play out a Smothering Tithe.

SPELL RECURSION/CARD DRAW

We have a few options to get back spells from the graveyard or just recast them from the graveyard. We have Mystic Sanctuary, which kind of functions like a Mystical Tutor. Other options include Bond of Insight, Past in Flames, and Volcanic Visions (which also functions well with our wincons and damage doublers). Card draw options are Windfall, Wheel of Fortune, Pull from Tomorrow, and Emergency Powers, which allows to put in any one of damage doublers for free should we cast it on our main phase.
