My playgroup and I have been experimenting with having a Planeswalker . . . ANY Planeswalker . . . as an EDH General. This one, Voltron Gideon, is one of my works in progress.

The core idea is Death by Commander Damage:

(1) Play Gideon

(2) Turn him into an indestructible creature.

(3) Hook a bunch of Artifacts on him.

(4) Clear the board of all other creatures. Gideon won't die, because he's indestructible.

(5) Swing. If done correctly, the opponent won't be able to block.

The rest of the deck is other Gideons, indestructible creatures, ways to make stuff indestructible, board wipes, and tokens to hold over until the good artifacts have been dug out.

Worldslayer + Avacyn, Angel of Hope is almost a Guaranteed win, if you can get Worldslayer to go off. Whispersilk Cloak will help with this.
