-U = Utility, including but not limited to; card draw, mana production, proliferating abilities
-I = Infect, HAZARD WARNING, WHEN DEALING WITH CATEGORY I SPECIMENS IT IS THE HANDLERS' RESPONSIBILITY TO WEAR THE PROPER PPE, VOL LAB INC. WILL NOT BE BE LIABLE FOR ANY TYPE OF EXPOSURE
Specimen #001 Class:E,U Name Birds of Paradise
Specimen has mana production abilities to allow for ramp early game, and allows for evasion in late game. Note: Keep away from lightning bolts.
Specimen #002 Class:E,I Name Blighted Agent
Specimen is a great way to set poison counters on the enemy players during the early game, copying classification I specimens with Volrath, the Shapestealer is a great way to end games in a hurry. Note: Specimen should never be allowed out of it's cell, we all remember what happened last time Hector.
Specimen #003 Class:E Name Brokkos, Apex of Forever
Specimen #003 is great at increasing the lethality of other specimens. Specimen#003 has been here before the laboratory was built, Specimen#003 will not leave the laboratory, Specimen#003 will be here after he laboratory is no more, Specimen#003 will out live us all
Specimen#004 Class:E,G Name Cloudfin Raptor
Specimen#004 is a great target for the mutate mechanic. Casting the commander will almost always trigger the evolve mechanic. It's not a bird. Birds do not exist.
Specimen#005 Class:E,U Name Cold-Eyed Selkie
Specimen#005 ability allows it to draw for as much damage it deals, generating counters on Specimen#005 is recommended if more cards are needed in hand, copying Specimen#005 with Volrath, the Shapestealer when dealing combat damage will draw 7 cards. Note: Specimen#005 must be kept moist at all times.
Specimen#006 Class:G Name Forgotten Ancient
Specimen#006 is a GENERATOR, adding counters to your whole field. It is recommended to focus on spreading the counters to multiple creatures instead of making one creature very large, this allows for more options for Volrath, the Shapestealer to shapesteal.
Specimen#007 Class:E,U Name Gemrazer
Specimen#007 a cheap mutator with trample. Note: Keep away from signets and microwaves
Specimen#008 Class:E,D Name Glen Elendra Archmage
Do not trust fairies.
Specimen#007 Class:G Name Glowstone Recluse
Now look at this beauty, absolutely amazing. She's very calm, she's very nice, and actually quite friendly. Also extremely deadly. Look at those little hairs on her eight legs. Beautiful creature.
Specimen#008 Class:E,D Name Invisible Stalker
The transparency of Specimen#008 skin results from the combination of several properties: skin material has a low absorption of visible light, there is low scattering of the light that passes through the skin, and there is low reflection of the light impinging on the skin's surface.[10] The latter occurs for a broad range of incident wavelengths, covering the entire visible spectrum, and all incidence angles. This broadband and omnidirectional anti-reflection property originates from nanopillars standing on the skin's surface which ensures a gradient of refractive index between the incident medium, air, and the skin's membrane.[8] These nanopillars, non-periodically arranged on the skin's surface, possess a high aspect ratio (defined as height divided by radius), where the radii are below the wavelengths of the visible light. Additionally, they feature a random height and width distribution, which is directly responsible for the smooth refractive index gradient and thereby for the broadband and omnidirectional anti-reflection properties. These properties are further improved by the presence of pedestals at the base of the nanopillars.[11] Additionally, the structure of the nanopillars allows for the skin to have a low roughness factor because of its tiny hair-like microtrichia features. This was experimentally tested through water droplet adhesion to the skin.[12] Editors' note: YOU CAN'T JUST COPY PASTE FROM WIKIPEDIA!
Specimen#009 Class:G,U Name Necroskitter
This specimen can reinvigorate necrotic material as long as the material had been infected with -1/-1 counters before it became necrotic. Specimen also has a way to infect infecting creatures with -1/-1 counters. Combos with anything that puts -1/-1 counters on creatures and kills them
Specimen#010 Class:D,G Name Plaxcaster Frogling
Not Hypnotoad, all hail hypnotoad
Specimen#011 Class:D,G Name Predator Ooze
Harder to kill than an untreated UTI
Specimen#012 Class:U Name Sea-Dasher Octopus
I've seen enough anime to know where this is going
Specimen#014 Class:D,U Name Sylvan Caryatid
Copying Defender?
Specimen#015 Class:G,U Name Tetzimoc, Primal Death
Specimen#016 Class:E,U Name Thrummingbird
Not a bird, birds aren't real
Specimen#017 Class:E,U,I Name Viral Drake
Is this a bird?
My fingers hurt from copying this all from wikipedia, my autotitrator stopped titrating in the middle of a 3hour run, didn't notice until 2 hours in, Mark from accounting keeps taking my favorite parking spot, and the company ran out of coffee during the last pandemic. I'm just going to let one of the lab techs fill out the rest of this list, they don't do anything anyways, why do we even pay them for?
