Maybeboard

First draft of a Venser, the Sojourner deck using Teferi's Time Twist as the signature spell (for now).

This deck is supposed to be VERY casual. The idea is for me to survive by making it prohibitively expensive verging on impossible for my opponents to attack me. However, I want my interaction with them to be as even as possible. By that I mean that I want my effects to happen to as many of them at the same time as possible.

While I am not focused on winning until all the other opponents have hammered away at each other, I figure that if my creatures can't find a way through against a single opponent, then Labman will do the job.

Or concession.

For reference, my "meta" consists of: Liliana, the Last Hope // The Elderspell: Zombie tribal that makes tons of tokens. Piloted by my wife who really only plays because me and the kids do.

Ajani, Strength of the Pride // White Sun's Zenith: pseudo white weenie. My 12 year olds first self built deck. I gave her a little input.

Arlin Kord // Moonmist: Wolf/Werewolf tribal. My 10 year old picked the theme and like 90 cards (before land) and I helped her narrow it down.

Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury // Genesis Wave: Stupid elf tribal. My 5 year old plays this and she can't read well. She counts the CMC, sees if she can play a card, and then plays it. I just make sure it is legal and then help with board state, etc. She also picks who to "fight" and when to play Freyalise and Genesis Wave; the deck has 4 non-permenants. She wins more than any other deck this way. Elves are dumb.

Input is welcome and appreciated, just remember that it is supposed to be casual! I want them to focus on playing and learning the finer points, not just trying to gang up on me (and still lose).

The Maybe board consists of cards that I currently own, but that didn't make the final cut for some reason. I would prefer to keep changes to cards that are either there or under $5 (or that I already own, but you can't know what that is). If you make a suggestion to add, please suggest what to remove as well.

My LGS didn't have a few of the cards I wanted, and I kept myself on a strict $25 budget for buying things I didn't already have. So I had to change a few things from the initial vision. In the end, it isn't that much different and it is cheaper anyway so not too big of a deal.

I have realized that I ended up cutting a lot of my value cards (cards that draw, gain life, pull from the yard, etc on ETB) in lieu of Clone effects and tax effects. Maybe too many.

But the idea remains that I want to be very tough to attack, and if/when I affect the board, I want it to effect all players equally. So I figured that the multiple Clones can copy....whatever I need them to copy.

Wincons are very few, but that's more or less by design. Soulherder will be giant and can be copied. Labman is basically just a last resort, just in case type card.
