That's awesome wizardj0rsh87, glad you dig it. Best of luck with your build, voltron style EDH decks are lots of fun. Cheers fellow Uril guy!

This deck build has worked out really well for me! Thanks!

Spectra Ward from M15 would serve you well here, I think.

Thanks canterlotguardian, I appreciate the idea. I had considered Spectra Ward for this deck but ultimately decided against it in favour of Unquestioned Authority & Spirit Mantle . Given that Uril is already hexproof, he's difficult to target so the protection from Spectra simply allows him to swing unblocked + block creatures which the other two auras already do. I like that Spectra doesn't kill existing auras on Uril, but the downfall would be that I couldn't target Uril once Spectra is in place. Perhaps I'm missing something? It could certainly make for a decent finishing smash if I didn't have the other protection from creature stuff out.

I keep forgetting that once the Ward is on there, you can't enchant Uril anymore. Maybe it isn't the best choice... Lol

Boonweaver Giant is a cool new card u can put in ur deck, fetch and attach ur eldrazi conscription and if u put flickerform on him it would be pretty broken, just be nice to have a secondary aura voltron beat down creature.

Vigor would be a nice compliment with ur contested cliffs

1 last suggestion, with all that enchantment u should consider getting a Serra's Sanctum

Great suggestions aznb01777, thanks! I particularly like the Vigor idea, added protection for Uril. I would absolutely run Serra's Sanctum if I had one...I'll have to seek one out.

No problem, glad I could help. I was playtesting ur deck amd it ran pretty good, I look more into it, n I notice u dont Replenish and Silent Sentinel which are another enchantment recovery u can throw in if u needed extra source for enchantment recursion. I dont know how much mass removal ur play group uses but just in case u needed more.

aznb01777, I like it. I've wanted Replenish in this deck for a while, I simply don't have one (and yes, my play group runs a metric tonne of removal). I hadn't considered Silent Sentinel before, I'll play test him, see how it goes. Cheers!

Love this deck! Just play tested it here on the site. It must be so much fun to play! Can't think of a thing I'd change. It looks awesome. Thanks for sharing. I think you inspired me to build around this guy. Thank you. Amazing build!!!

Whoa, high praise John_the_Krulik, thanks homie! This was my second EDH deck (after Zur - what can I say, I like the voltron powerhouses) and it's been fun tweaking it over the years. I hope you have as much fun with the deck as I have.

Keen Sense is a value engine on Uril, not to mention Madcap Skills , Hyena Umbra and Goblin War Paint are all cheap pumps that make your commander more lethal quicker. Getting your hands on a Replenish would be a good investment, as it would allow you to make a comeback if your opponents wipe your board.

Bow of Nylea is also great as it gives you access to the silliness that is Deathtouch and Trample interaction. Genesis Wave could also be good as it can dump enchantments on to the board.

Teal_Fox, I am drinking your sake kemosabe. I particularly like Keen Sense because moar cardz. And I fully agree that Replenish is a must here, it's on my wishlist. Cool suggestions! Now I need to think of a couple of cuts...

maybe Celestial Archon? a flying Uril is scary.

Flying Uril is scary! Angelic Destiny + Shield of the Oversoul have me covered in that regard. Although I don't mind redundancy, I find the bestow 7CC on Celestial Archon is a little prohibitive.

Not bad; I built The Picture of Doran Gray in the vein of Uril decks, subbing black for removal and otherwise. How is the rise of arcane lighthouse affecting how Uril decks are playing around the meta? Is it even a, threat?

Thanks scarbrought93. Although it's certainly a threat, so far Arcane Lighthouse (incidentally, this is my favourite of the new cards introduced in C14 - I've added 1 to every EDH deck) hasn't appeared against Uril yet. I have a Strip Mine saved specially for it. As for Grove of the Burnwillows, I would absolutely run it here if I owned one. One day!

Your Doran voltron build looks like it'd be fun to pilot, cool deck.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this yet, but Celestial Mantle is great, it may not win games, but it will keep you from loosing them.

Definitely an awesome card Coinman1863, in fact I used to run it in this deck. The main issue I have with Celestial Mantle is a) the casting cost and b) it's a bit of a win more card. Ironic considering I run Eldrazi Conscription, I just didn't find the additional life gain to be that effective.
