Finally after years I am able to rebuild my favorite deck of all time. This deck is loaded with crazy synergy from ETB and double sometimes triple ETB triggers to on attack and double on attack triggers to just the way every dragon is meant to add to other dragons power and utility. There are some card choices I know everybody is wondering about so I’ll explain. Tainted strike is there for a one hit wombo combo with the commander and warstorm surge. It’s rude, unnecessary, and hilarious to see your opponents face when he insta die’s. I see you’ve noticed the cabal coffers and urborg. No it’s not a mistake. First there are several way to get these two pieces out. Second I have a land and artifact that filters into 5 color so the extra black fuels that. And third it’s there to pay for the absurd extra cost of your commander (because let’s be fair ur-dragon will die soon after he hits the field) and to pay for the colorless part of spells freeing up your colored mana. (As a side note my play group has a strict no land destruction rule) It’s also fun to turn your mirage mirror into a coffers for double of that tasty black mana. Sunbirds evocation is a wonderful little chaos enchantment. Will I flip into a better dragon by playing one I don’t need? What about the planes walkers or instants and sorcery’s? Who knows, I sure as hell don’t and my opponents never do. It keeps them on edge.
