Maybeboard


Mizzix of the Izmagnus commander deck. This deck attempts to control the board early, utilizing many clears, in order to reach the late game, where it relies on resolving devastating, end game instants and sorceries. This attempts to get value out of the discount Mizzix of the Izmagnus can provide, hopefully playing high cost spells much earlier, and taking complete control of the game.

I want the identity of this deck to be very much control oriented; clearing the board, countering spells, taking extra turns, high mana combos, etc. In addition to the instant/sorcery synergy, there is a small amount of artifact synergy in the deck (not sure if this is something I should keep).

In general, I am looking for improvements I can make to this deck, while staying true to the big spell archetype described above. A lot of my current choices are more budget oriented, but I am not opposed to picking up a few more expensive cards, within reason. However, because of this reason, the mana base of this deck is quite lacking. In the maybeboard, I have included several cards I have considered, but it has been difficult for me recognize specifically where my deck is lacking and perhaps what new directions/synergies I should go for. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
