No More Green! —July 13, 2018

Sad to see the end of abzan for this deck. I had to accept that I would never actually put in the upgrades such as Maelstrom Pulse and all of the fetches and what not to make it playable.

Love this!! The idea is so cool:D Just so you know though, Enlightened Tutor isn't legal in Modern :) also, a lot of your sideboard seems a bit repetitive? I'd add in some cards that destroy artifacts, exile graveyards, gain you life, things like that! :) Dragon's claw is great sideboard and costs pennies, and there's Tormod's Crypt and Disenchant as well :)

Also! You have a lot of creatures with two or three coloured symbols in their cmc but no dual lands, you might want to consider adding some to make the deck more reliable :)

Looks like a blast, cool idea!!

An absurd combo with Solemnity is Phyrexian Unlife it makes it so you can't die of damage, Goodluck!

This is a fantastic idea! When Solemnity was released, I hated it because it was hate against my favorite playstyle which is +1/+1 counters. However you've used it in a way that I absolutely love.

However there is a problem with one of your combos. Gray Merchant of Asphodel + Undying Evil doesn't work like you think it does.

From the MTG Comprehensive Rulebook:

"400.7. An object that moves from one zone to another becomes a new object with no memory of, or relation to, its previous existence."

When you give the creature Undying, it has that ability until it comes back from the graveyard. Then it doesn't have it anymore because it enters the new zone in its original state. So you can use Undying Evil to get an extra ETB or Blood Artist trigger, but it won't go infinite. Just thought you should know.

The deck is still really awesome! I'm considering throwing together something like this in the future now.

+1 from me!

I love the concept of solemnity + undying. I just don't think the green splash is doing enough for you, especially with the GG cost on the geist. A fetchless mana base is going to struggle to hit GG by turn two and still be able to cast your two primary colors. If you're concerned about cost, perhaps consider Safehold Elite or Rendclaw Trow (And if you want to splash out, Kitchen Finks). For your purposes, persist is just as good as Undying. Then you can go white and black without the splash.

Good call, Kandrel. The splash is really unnecessary, and even if it werent the blue splash is a better call to make this deck more powerful, but I like having the young wolf as a turn one body and a creature to sac later on. The safehold elite and rendclaw trow are much better options than the geist. I like kitchen finks but I don't feel it does enough for the deck to warrant the damage to my wallet (very much my opinion). Still a prototype, changes are coming, haven't even built a physical deck to playtest.
