This deck wants to build a wide board of elf warrior tokens, generated by cards like Wolverine Riders , pumped by its many elf lords in order to create a strong, defensive presence that dissuades attack. It contains numerous cards that pump as new elves enter the field, such as Marwyn, the Nurturer , or have power and toughness based on the number of elves either on the field or controlled, such as Abomination of Llanowar . These cards not only allow the deck to simultaneously go tall as it goes wide but also act as win conditions when sacrificed to its commander, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord . In the event key cards are placed into the graveyard, the deck contains many options to return them to the hand or field.

Beyond the deck’s core strategy, it contains a number of means to drain opponents of life while gaining life all the while. Cards such as Elderfang Venom can not only make life difficult for opponents while making your day easier but also discourage board wipes.

After a reasonable amount of playtesting, I can confirm this deck works as intended. While aggro is generally not as viable a strategy in EDH as it is in 60 card formats, this is an aggressive deck that can survive into the late game, assuming it hasn’t ended the game by then. It can very effectively win games without swinging at all, which allows for a constant defensive presence.

I recommend a sideboard that can address specific threats in your meta, as the main deck struggles against issues such as fliers. That said, this is a focused deck that is fast, adaptable, and a lot of fun without being oppressive.
