Enchantment (1)

A well played, tuned and explosive, ultimate Uril EDH deck! Be prepared to floorstomp your opponents whether you play 1v1 or multiplayer! Your opponents will cringe as Uril, the Miststalker comes crashing through their defenses for lethal damage.
This is a super fun, super efficient build that utilizes a ton of intercard synergies to keep up with your antagonists.
Play this deck if you like:- Big, phat creatures that "Hasssssan Chopppp!"- Many different cards that combo well together- Drawing lots of cards- Being like Charlie Sheen and "Winning!"

The main idea is obviously to get Uril to inflict lethal commander damage on your enemy as quickly as possible. However, you want to have a decent setup on the board in case things go awry. I play with quiet a bit of recursion to bring back important cards to ensure I don't run out of gas when the board is annihilated. Through the three main stages of the game (early, mid, late) you should strive for the following board presence:Early:In the early game, you want your draw engine in full force. Sylvan Library is a perfect start. Getting an enchantress on the board is priority as well with the perfect scenario being 2nd turn Argothian Enchantress followed by Sylvan Library next turn. You will be able to draw a card from playing the library plus being able to go three deep each turn into your library. Since this deck has ample life gain, go ahead and take an extra card every now and then to keep fresh cards to the top. Throw a first turn Land Tax into this equation for the ULTIMATE opening draw! Ultimate draw:1st turn: Land Tax2nd turn: enchantress or library3rd turn: enchantress or library Remember, in this stage you can use the plethora of tutors to get to the library or enchantress. Use Worldly Tutor, Eladamri's Call, or even Green Sun's Zenith to get that much needed enchantress. Did you draw Enlightened Tutor or Idyllic Tutor? Great! Search for Sylvan Library, Enchantress's Presence , or Eidolon of Blossoms. Mid-Game:Now that you have your card draw in place, its time to prepare for Uril's grand entrance! You will now strive to have several auras in hand plus you will want Xenagos, God of Revels on the board! I typically try not to play Uril until I have Xenagos or Messenger's Speed one in hand. Getting Uril out and smacking face with him is the whole point so haste is grand. Flamekin Village is also an alternative if the prior two have not surfaced yet. Remember, you can tutor for Xenagos with all your creature tutors AND enchantment tutors! You mid game should look like this:- Xenagos on the board- Several enchantments in hand- Some form of haste if Xenagos is not around (unless you have an umbra you can slap on fat boy)At this stage, Uril Can easily hit for lethal damage with just an aura or two! If the board is reset, then it's into the late game we go!

Late Game: Admittedly, this deck is not the strongest late game type of deck, but it can still survive and win at this stage if some things go right. Use your board wipes to help reset the board then strive to get your recursion going on with Eternal Witness + Sun Titan engine. For those daring enough, complete the loop cycle with Reveillark + Saffi Eriksdotter plus the two formerly mentioned. I personally don't play the previous two because of the rarity of setting up the combo, but it is completely possible (especially with tutors), as I have seen it pulled off several times for a devastating effect! Once you get some enchantments in hand, whip out Uril and what him NAY NAY!

What's our bane? Control of course! So, how do we beat this? With our control buster cards of course!City of Solitude and Grand Abolisher or even Cavern of Souls keep our nasties from being countered. Torpor Orb is a party favorite for those cheese decks that like to abuse ETB effects or use them to destroy your stuff! The Seal enchantments synergize great with this deck by drawing you cards when you play them with enchantresses out in play, destroy your opponent's artifacts or enchantments, and are returnable via witness or giant and even Replenish.Does your control player like using sac effects? Throw out Tajuru Perserver or Sigarda, Host of Herrons to stimey their hopes.Does your opponent play a swarm of creatures? Well, you may have noticed that I actually don't use Dueling Grounds or Silent Arbiter to control these type of decks. Instead, I use my mass removals + an umbra aura or Gift of Immortality on Uril to live through my own wipes!I use Stranglehold and Aven Mindcensor to shut down that library searching (remember, this also shuts down mana ramp cards!).If your group plays the taboo land destruction, then throw in a Crucible of Worlds to get 'em back!

Some cool combos and synergies that I have found include the following, but are not limited to:Berserk + any umbra or Gift of Immortality. Get a HUGE bang for the buck AND keep your Uril! Remember, Berserk gives that much needed evasion with trample PLUS makes him do INSANE damage!Xenagos, God of Revels + Uril + any aura for ridiculous damage! Make sure you have a form of evasion to avoid chump blocking.Xenagos + ANY tutor in the deck! He can be pulled with all of our available tutors including Green Sun's Zenith or even Sterling Grove!Eternal Witness + Sun Giant to return ANY of your needed cards as long as the giant is on the board. Combine him with an umbra or Gift of Immortality to keep the big boy on the board even longer!Mass removal board wipes + Uril + any umbra aura = opponent's in a world of dismay. Bless them, scoop 'em?

If you ever get it, Exploration + Land Tax + Oracle of Mul Daya just ain't even fair!Do you want more basic lands? By all means throw them in plus more mana ramp cards. I would do this if I didn't own the fetch lands.Aggravated Assault + Bear Umbra = unlimited attack phases.

Leave some comments and let me know what you think. This Uril version is a tad different from the standard form of it and it has performed VERY well for me in both 1v1 and multiplayer. If you guys see any combos or synergies I have missed, let me know!Good luck with keeping your friends! HAHAHA!
