Sideboard

First things first. This deck is adjusted to play well in Standard WITHOUT Aether Revolt and/or Kaladesh, so when they rotate out after Rivals of Ixalan I can just add new toys to the deck without having to revamp it very much. So please, PLEASE don't go telling me to add any of those cards unless it's absolutely necessary. (I know that Disallow is an awesome spell, but the plan here is to never let anything be on the field or be there long enough to cause me to have to stop an activated ability)

Anyway, here's the plan.

My goal here is to counter everything the opponent casts (as a good control deck should) and/or remove it from the battlefield to clear the way for a Nezahal, Primal Tide.

Here's my explanation for some of the cards.

Nezahal, Primal Tide: She's a good body as a 7/7, and will kill quickly, and along with the other buffs she adds when she's on the battlefield, I'll (hopefully) always have a spell ready to protect her. Also, if necessary,I can blink her to protect her in almost any situation.

Bontu's Last Reckoning: I think it's personally the best boardwipe for control right now, as I can cast it at the beginning of my turn if things hit the fan and simply use my counterspells as necessary to try and conserve as much mana as possible. So far, it's worked out rather well for me.

Kumena's Awakening: Personally, I think this is a great card draw engine, and will always ensure I have counters at the ready, especially once I've ascended. Also, it helps force cards down your opponent's throat early on so they may have to start discarding things.

Never / Return: Great "destroy anything" card that can later animate into a 2/2 meatshield if necessary

Censor: Great early counterspell, and can be cycled to draw other cards later if needed.

Some of the lands should be obvious, as some of the counterspells. Anyway, thanks for sticking around and reading this, and any help would be appreciated.

P.S. Any ideas on how to solve a Carnage Tyrant problem?
