UB Elixir Control

Modern UB (Dimir)

Crimsonfawkes

I remember in standard when RTR was still a thing, a UW control deck variant that Elspeth, Sun's Champion as it's singular win condition(can't remember the name off the top of my head). It ran elixir of immortality and ended winning 2nd place in some tournament.

I love this play style and I believe it's strength relies on having more counters and removal than your opponent. The engine of the deck is Elixir and Search for Ezcanta. Search for Ezcanta allows you to quickly cycle through your deck for those key removals spells, and because we are running less creatures we'll be able to hit more removals more frequently. The other part of the engine is Elixir. As you keep on cycling your graveyard into your library your deck becomes increasingly saturated with more removal as you play your lands.

Disclaimer: Anyway I could explain more I haven't yet played this deck and I am just barely getting into the modern format so I am not actually sure what's meta. It's not top tier by any means but I love playing this play style.

Enjoy!
