This is my third attempt to build this deck. First version was combo/controll, second was stax, this build is an adaptive combo build so it can go slow or fast depending on the pod.

Gameplan: The first turn should be used to either ramp or tutor up Argothian Enchantress. Tuvasa is basically a failsafe incase you don't have a better enchantress in hand or a way to get one quickly. You want to try to stick an enchantress on turn two. From there you want to either find another enchantress and start building your board state to stall or searching out your combo pieces.

Combos: A. Flash + Academy Rector, which cheats Omniscience into play. You need an enchantress or two (other than Tuvasa) and an enchantment in hand to get the ball rolling. There is a small chance of whiffing if you don't draw right, but since you don't have to pay any mana to cast any of your spells, you should be able to draw into or find a tutor for Attunement. Once you have Attunement, it is impossible for you to not draw your whole deck, barring interaction. You can either draw your whole deck and play it out or you can stop drawing once you have Eternal Witness and Winds of Rebuke. Then you can infinitely cast Winds to mill everyone's library, including yours, but since Nexus of Fate reshuffles, you get to enjoy infinite turns. Even if someone somehow exiles Nexus, your opponents will lose on their upkeep.

B. Evolutionary Leap + Academy Rector.

C. High Market + Academy Rector. Same as Flash Rector but costs 4W (sort of, you have to tap High Market to sac Rector) at sorcery speed.

D. Words of Wind + Abundant Growth (or any enchantment if you have an enchantress in play). WoW + Flickering Ward/Land Tax + Serra's Sanctum is another strong synergy. Words of Wind also helps prevent you from running out of gas if you have Omniscience in play as well as bouncing almost if not all of your opponents board in the process.

Stax Pieces:

Root Maze - Stoney Silence - Winter Orb - Back to Basics - Words of Wind - Aura of Silence -

Individual Card Discussion:

Back to Basics: B2B in a three color deck!?! Am I mad!?!? This is kind of a meta card. My playgroup runs incredibly greedy mana-bases, including myself, but a third of my lands are basics. This allows me to utilize fetches for mana fixing when absolutely necessary but allows me grab basic lands out of my deck when I need to slow the rest of the table down. I also have access to enchant lands, so my basics will tap for more mana than everyone else's, I am running untappers, so I can conceivably break parity that way. Land Tax is also a great little synergy with B2B.

Evolutionary Leap: Not quite as busted as Survival of the Fittest, but fantastic in this deck. We run so few creatures in this deck that your odds of trading up are extremely high. Tuvasa is a great target since you aren't really losing a creature out of the deal. Some times you will sac Tuvasa and flip into a better enchantress, some times you will flip into Academy Rector (if you still have one green mana up by that point, it's pretty much GG from there).

Spreading Seas: Another meta inclusion. There are a couple nasty green decks running around my meta. This is basically to nerf someone's Cradle or it can be used in the early game to keep someone off color. It also cantrips, so it combos with Words of Wind even if you don't have an enchantress in play.

Nexus of Fate: This card sucks right? Not so much when you have Omniscience in play and can mill your whole library so that it is the last card.

Funny Interactions:

  • Wild Growth "fixes" Gaea's Cradle. You probably drew a card casting Wild Growth, and Gaea's Cradle taps for G even with no creatures in the battlefield.

  • Phantasmal Image, copying Academy Rector = hilarity

Thank you to Reddit user deakmania for suggesting the Eternal Witness + Winds of Rebuke section of the combo.
