Just another sweep
Don't cut Eternal Dominion . It's one of the few Bombs that is a sorcery, so it can be tutored when you have a God Sweeper ( Devastation , Apocalypse , Obliterate , etc.....).
Paradox Haze is just win more, and you'll find that it sucks
Move Force of Will to the maindeck, it protects your bomb, when your lands get destroyed, just in case they are holding back a Plains and Swords to Plowshares You can even merchant scroll it up just in case or to bluff
Wheel & Timetwister are good, sometime u need a fresh start and to reshuffle the graveyard. I use Time Spiral since it's free, but this is a preference thing
ungh... I hate Deprive , it coust 2 UU, and pulls a land back. It's good, but keep digging as I feel another 2CC counter might be better - maybe Remand , Stoic Rebuttal seems good, since you have alot of artifacts. Arcane Denial , while letting an opponent draw 2, you also draw 1 card and it is easily splashable. Maybe look into Hinder

The thing about deprive is that it only costs two, I really dont want to play a three mana counter.
Also, while sometimes bouncing a land back hurts, usually I want to use my counters to protect that land wrath so it actually has some synergy with it. Also I dont play alot of lands so odds are I will just relay the land on my turn.
I was thinking about putting the force in the main, but im not sure

I wasnt planning on cutting Eternal Dominion btw.
Just talking about it, which I think is really healthy !

Thanks everyone for the 6000+ views ! your help has been great !

Not sure if this was a suggestion but, how about Paradox Haze ?
August 3, 2013 1:39 p.m.
well, I used to run that a long time ago. It is a three drop so it conflicts with my general, plus it takes a while to have an impact. I.E. it doesnt to anything the turn you play it. I would play Clockspinning over it I think
August 3, 2013 3:10 p.m.
I could see Mana Vortex being powerful. It would probably be best to play T3 over Jhoira if you have a 4th land in hand, as that would be absolutely devastating for the rest of the board.
August 4, 2013 11:25 a.m.
Well that wouldnt work because you would have to sack a land when you cast it
August 4, 2013 11:47 a.m.
dammit, thought the trigger was at eot instead of upkeep for some reason :P. Still, I like the card.

Anarchy in sideboard is working for me. I'm also using Acid Rain to totally destroy people. Since forests are widely used for multicolor generals. Careful though, people have been quitting once I play Acid Rain . Jhoira can beat most mono-green decks easily so I just played it for Nostalgia, with excellent results
Stranglehold is not so great, it comes out late, and you want to stop the actual threat (with a counterspell or removal) rather than stop them from searching. Kills fetches but... eh you can do better.
Consider Wash Out , it can be used offensively since you can drop your monster and then play it to clear the board and then attack, unlike evacuation and devastation tide. also hits enchantments and P.Walkers.
Mono-Blue is tough, they mostly use non-basics and tons of artifact ramp, and draw a ton of cards. Shattering Spree is good at destroying artifacts and avoiding the counterspells. and can be used late or early. I suggest using a transformable counterspell package in the side - Teferi, 4 more counters, Possibility Storm To lock them out. Although I don't belieive anyone can beat a mono-blue deck that packs 15+ counters without tuning the deck to do so.....which is lame.
see I am good at this game ! best of luck

Wash Out has always been a strong contender. I think I will put it on the maybe board.
Mono Blue IS my worst match up so this is what I have for it already.
Boseiju, Who Shelters All - really the best card in here against them
Expedition Map to get that
Cavern of Souls - can use it for jhoira or for a fatty late game
Obliterate - if you can land jhoira
Quicksilver Amulet - If you can land it
Decree of Annihilation - The cycle if you landed jhoira and have something on suspend
and five maindeck counters
And in the side you bring in
Akroma, Angel of Fury - all you want in the match up
Sunder - this isnt the best but it helps to try to get counters out of their hand EOT instead of on your upkeep
I dont think Shattering Spree is really the answer since most of the time I play against Azami, Lady of Scrolls not Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur
Possibility Storm is good too but it can just be countered and cost 5. It might as well just be a wrath coming off suspend since you win if they dont counter it. Ill think about it though. (plus what are the odds of them hitting another counter and you not hitting another fatty?
Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir used to be in the side. But I wanted to keep a critical number of instants for Cunning Wish . Plus he can just be countered too.
I could have more counters in the board, but things are not that desperate yet. I actually rarely see mono blue, and when I do it is a 4-way pod which gives me a little more time to find an answer.
Stranglehold is a little slow. You are probably right, but I will leave it up there for now while I think about it more.
when I was playing Burning Wish , Acid Rain and Anarchy were both in the board. but since I am already good against mono white and mono green, it wasn't worth the spot anymore
Thanks for all your comments!

Here is what I am taking to gencon Jhoira GENCON FINAL EDIT
The board has been replaced with hate for Hermit Druid which I cannot beat so Cunning Wish was taken out. and Force of Will was put in
I wanted Akroma, Angel of Fury to be in the 110 so I took out Karn Liberated and put her in
August 6, 2013 11:22 a.m.
I am still talking with pastimes about whether they will be allowing sideboards as it is an optional rule. If they do not, I will have to do some serious work on the list.
August 6, 2013 11:23 a.m.
Trying the deck with Pact of Negation in the wishboard and Force of Will in the main for a while.
(I took out Rhystic Study for it)
August 7, 2013 10:25 a.m.
Blood Moon and Magus of the Moon are really meta dependent. They are great if you are playing against 3 other people who have really complicated mana bases, but they are dead against people who play alot of basics.
I am going to keep them in my binder in case I want to throw them back in if the meta changes, but right now they are coming out.
I want to try to make the deck less reactive and more proactive. I want to be the one with a plan.
So we are trying Lotus Petal and Simian Spirit Guide in those spots. Also, Magma Spray is coming out of the board and Clockspinning is going in.

Chain of Vapor came out of the board for Fact or Fiction since it was a little redundant with Chaos Warp
August 8, 2013 10:21 a.m.
- Simian spirit guide ( Win faster.... nothing special, use for a real slot)
Pact of Negation (After a sweeper you will lose, need something more dependable)
Rhystic study (survives a sweep, drop early for advantage)
- Any graveyard artifact (Tormod's Crypt , relic, scrabbling claws, +Trinket Mage)
- Wildfire ( Can drop early and ensure a victory)
No offense or anything, but this deck has become boring. You're just tweaking with the nuts and bolts, and it seems like you're gearing this for 1 vs 1. I think you alreadyhave your optimum build, w/ sideboard. Just set aside 25 extra cards that can be interchanged depending on your meta or playgroup. No EDH deck is ever complete
People play Jhoira so they can play cards lke blatant thievery, Insurrection, Spelltwine, and a slew of flashy cool spells that really shine in multiplayer. There's not even a crappy "Pet" card to spice things up a bit. This deck just sweeps and drops, more like a solitaire deck
Not to mention the redundancy
Devastation Tide Sunder Chain Reaction Apocalypse Obliterate Decree of Annihilation Blasphemous Act Devastation Jokulhaups Cyclonic Rift Evacuation Oblivion Stone
The above cards all do the same thing, and most of your monsters all have annhilator. The Uniformity becomes monotonous, especially for EDH. If you wanted a Deck that just smokes people, Niv-Mizzet & Mimeoplasm are light years in that direction.

Simian Spirit Guide works well with Wheel of Fortune and Timetwister in openers with a mana rock in them. It also works with Sol Ring , Lotus Petal , Mana Crypt , Chrome Mox , and Mox Diamond to let you suspend something turn two, under Counterspell . Like I said though. It and Lotus Petal are swing slots. Also it works well with Enter the Infinite
I would obviously not cast Pact of Negation if I were suspending a land wrath. but I think it is a good card to keep in the board for Cunning Wish to become a Cancel if needed. I wanted Force of Will to come into the main so I would see it more often.
Rhystic Study is really slow. And I didnt really think it had that big of an impact on the game. I still have it in my binder, but Im playing without it for a while.
If something comes off suspend turn 6 and I wildfire first. Players will likely still have UU up for Counterspell . It does nothing.
I dont really want to use slots in the deck to hate on graveyards. I want to be proactive. Accomplishing my goals.
I dont think the deck is boring. and I am the one that plays with it. I love it. So Im not changing cards because they are monotonous or boring in your opinion. I want to play jhoira as well as she can be played. I want to win every game I play in. I know that is not possible. but I can come close. In multiplayer tuesday I won all 4 games I played in. This morning I won 10/13 one on one games. I love playing to win. It is a blast. I dont like splashy crap cards. I like consistency and redundancy.
I think that black should not have redundancy because of the 8 tutors you get to play. You get to have a toolbox deck. Blue doesnt get that luxury. We have to play 5 cards that destroy all creatures so that we can find one when we need to. that is why there are 16 win cons in my deck when black might only run 2.
This is boring is not a good reason to change it. And as far as generals go, I want to play jhoira. I decided two years ago, I liked her as a general and I was going to try to figure out the best way to build her. Im not playing the best EDH deck. But I want to play the best jhoira deck. So if you have suggestions on improving the win rate of this deck in multiplayer. Let me know.
truble says... #1
Just cut Fact or Fiction for Deprive
