If you want a replacement Pongify , try Rapid Hybridization .

What does the foil signify? Is it just there if your one is foil, or does it show how good something is or what?

Magg811 - Good call on the Rapid Hybridization , but I dont really want two of the effect in the deck. Thanks for the suggestion though !

KingSorin - The foil signifies that I own the card IRL and it is also foil. I have become a foil whore as of late and I cant stop pimping out my deck. My favorite cards in the deck are the foil Scalding Tarn , the signed German black border third edition Sol Ring and the signed unlimited Timetwister

This is my version of the concept, seems a bit different from yours:

Anticipation and Suspense

Here is my rating for the deck btw: All ratings are from 1-10, with one being bad and ten being good. I figured I might as well rate my own if I am going to rate everyone elses

Price 1 - My IRL deck is $2673

Mana Base 10 - I think that it is basically flawless.

Level of Fun 5 - No one likes land wraths and turn one Wheel of Fortune s

Competitiveness 8 - I would like to think it is pretty competitive

Innovation 9 - Two years of work should = some innovation

Deck Cohesion 8 - all the cogs fit together well

Overall Score 8 - I may be biased

Just added Chain Reaction , dont know how I missed it. The deck really needs those early game wrath effects

KingSorin says... #9

Is it too late to recommend Slagstorm ? Or Pyroclasm or Volcanic Fallout ?

July 1, 2013 8:34 p.m.

truble says... #10

Well it is never too late to recommend something, but you wont receive a prize.

Volcanic Fallout is in the list already (accessible with Cunning Wish )

Pyroclasm and Slagstorm just dont do enough damage to include three copies of the effect

The reason Chain Reaction is better is that it can deal 6 pretty easy in a 4 way game and clear almost anything off the board one turns 4-7 while things are on suspend end everyone is pissed.

Dude, your deck is TOY. My playgroup would eat you alive.

Gilded Drake & SnapCaster Mage are better than Than timecrafter & Jhoira's Time bug. Those cards are horrible if you have nothing suspended. Your a fool not to run Jace, you can potentially get him out on turn 2 or 3 and start sculpting your hand. Shivan sand Mage and cards that remove time counters are garbage because they need to have something suspended to work. Everyone has been telling you the Blood Moon and Magus are not for this deck and your mana base. You even contradict yourself and say:

"Ruination usually left 1-2 of my opponents with all their land still in play? Then why run Magus and Blood moon? They will only stop your opponent half the time and clog you up.

Basics do improve consistency, as they are resiliant to non-basic hate and provide 1 of the 2 colors you need, combined with fetches you rarely need any non-basics. Exotic Orchard is better than tarnished citadel, even Tendo Ice Bridge. Dude your deck is Toy.... And I do run fetches

"The deck does not play itself, you dont have to make yourself a threat right away"This is just Silly, everyone knows that Jhoira is one of 10 best generals, and they will see you as a threat upon revealing your General. You play weak opponents if they don't know.

I understand you don't want to make a control deck, but your deck has no resiliency, & no back up plan. It's Just Jhoira to the MAX head on assault. Once you play enough games against skilled players, going off won't be so easy and you will start cutting the fat, making the deck stronger and able to go off through hate.

Why run Tectonic Edge, Wasteland, Dustbowl, and Strip mine if you're running Jokalhaups and other sweepers.? Those lands don't provide any color, leave you vulnerable, and you're just gonna sweep anyway. I don't know which land is so important (sans Cradle) that you must destroy it at the cost of not advancing your board. You have Crucible lock so I understand a little. I also think your deck relies too heavily on Jhoira comming out, seems like you have no out if Jhoira gets spell Crumpled or hindered. Sure you can use your expedition map to find cavern, but by that time your opponents should be hammering you.You could potentially have Rhystic Study out on turn 1 or 2 with your fast manabase. Card advantage wins games, drawing more cards means more options. Simian Spirit Guide is awful too. He just ramps you into an early jhoira - nothing more. 1 vs 1 you'd lose to anything aggro, since they are running sol ring and mana crypt too. 3rd turn Zur or a Sword of Feast & Famine, your timebug is useless. But phantasmal image or gilded drake can save you from a speedy deck or fast general like Sisay, Khalia, Zur, Rafiq, or Edric. Against aggro decks, fetches, and those damage artifcats combined with citadel, you're basically playing with 30 Life (Or 20 if 1 vs 1) and any decent players should focus on attacking you.

Seems like you have no Idea how to play Jhoira, or your opponents are TOY

Hey thanks for reviewing my deck, a lot of your suggestions helped. Why do you run Ulamog's Crusher in here? It just seems underwhelming. I had one in my deck once and took it out since it has no evasion and is fairly easy to chump block even with annihilator

July 3, 2013 11:32 a.m.

and you have Cunning Wish why not Burning Wish if money isn't an object

July 3, 2013 12:07 p.m.

truble says... #14

I actually own the Burning Wish but I didnt like having only 4 targets for each (there are two cards in the board that are for sideboarding) It just didnt have anything that good to get, and cutting it made Cunning Wish way better

Ulamog's Crusher is the worst fatty on the list, but it will due the trick after a board wipe. That is it will keep the lands off the board until people are dead. It will get cut as soon as something better gets printed

July 3, 2013 12:10 p.m.

Unless you're playing that the wishes can only grab sideboard cards, then it makes complete sense

July 3, 2013 12:22 p.m.

truble says... #16

Im playing that they can only get board cards because thats the rules (excluding tabletop)

July 3, 2013 12:23 p.m.

Yea I see that my above comment got separated by yours, it was supposed to go directly after mine. I realized after looking at your sideboard that you must be playing that the wishes can only get from sideboards, which yea is the real rules but some people play that its any card from your collection

on my page in the description I have the entire list of 46 cards every jhoira player should play (given infinite resources) you should take a look: truble

Was board today and decided to Goldfish the deck some.... been thinking about Scroll Rack , Blood Moon , Crucible of Worlds , Simian Spirit Guide , Lotus Petal , Magus of the Moon , Fact or Fiction , Trinket Mage , Expedition Map , Ghitu Encampment and Dust Bowl

I think those are the weakest cards in the list. But I dont know if I should replace them or not?

Any thoughts?

hmmm what about Intuition

July 5, 2013 10:27 a.m.

truble says... #21

Here are my thoughts right now:

what do you think ?

July 5, 2013 2:42 p.m.

When I looked at your deck Blood Moon and Lotus Petal definitely stuck out as the weakest and I think you could definitely do better. I've always wanted a Scroll Rack for my deck, and since you have so any fetch lands it seems like it would be real strong to me. Helps get to those Obliterates more quickly. Not a huge fan of Crucible of Worlds at all really. When do you use it? It doesn't really do you any good after a wrath does it? Is it really just for stuff like Wasteland and the fetches?

July 6, 2013 2:12 a.m.

truble says... #23

Just made some changes. No more Crucible of Worlds , Scroll Rack , Dust Bowl , or Ghitu Encampment . Added Arid Mesa , Mountain , Intuition , and Rhystic Study

truble says... #24

what do you guys think of Inundate ?

July 7, 2013 12:56 p.m.

Soapbot says... #25

Wash Out is better than innundate. It's less mana intensive making it splash friendly, and it can hit planeswalkers and enchantments.

Izzet Keyrune is a good substitute for ghitu encampment and lotus petal. It provides a mana rock, can hit planeswalkers, block for your planeswalkers, and draws a card for you, all around good card.

Maybe, Desolate Lighthouse might be good to dig deeper, it also lets you pitch an Eldrzai to shuffle your graveyard back at instant speed, just in case.

I like Ulamog's Crusher , he can come out on his own without being suspended and do damage. A solid threat until you can put your pieces together.

What can Intuition do that Merchant Scroll , Mystical Tutor , or Personal Tutor can't ? Long-Term Plans might be better. With Brainstorm . Scroll Rack , or Sensei's Divining Top , or even Ponder you can get what you want WITHOUT showing your opponent, and telegraphing your play. I dunno though
