Creature (1)

Introduction

Yeah, yeah, we know Thrasios, Triton Hero is broken and Thassa's Oracle wins most games in cEDH. So why have a look at this list? The more narrow two color combination makes for an individual play experience. The combos are consistent and can win quickly due to many creature tutors and redundant pieces, but are always interactable / stoppable at certain points.

I realy like combo and control lists. Always wanted to have a deck that wins with some kind of Laboratory Maniac effect. My first approach to this was a Arcum Dagsson list. It locked people early out with Possessed Portal and then had Laboratory Maniac as one of its wincons. Longstory short: It was no fun. I denied everyone else to Play and then proceded to win with the same combo. (Could have seen that one coming my selfe) My playgroupe is running some strong lists, but none of them could keep up with the blue artificer. So I came up with this partner decklist. The combos are strong and can win quickly, but are individual enough that I don't get bored and have to adapt to each game. Because most of them are creature based or even need a turncicle due to a tap effect to become usable, it is possible for the opponents to interact and stopp you from winning without using a Counterspell. To answer another potential Question: Why partners with the same colorpairing? I don`t know exacly… Since their release I looked at combinations of the same colors. Maby simply because it uses them not as they were intended. In this special case the two interact realy great. But more on this at a later point.

What you should like?

Still here? Great! Obviously not every deck is for every player. So here are some Things you could be Looking for when picking up ideas of this list:

The Gameplan

Ramp:

Llanowar Elves, Simic Signet or even Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix provide as much mana as fast as possible. Ramping is in all decks a strong enabler for whatever your gameplan is, but with Thrasios, Triton Hero in the comandzone you Always will have a manasink with more ramp and carddraw awailable. He is not without reason one of the strongest commanders.

Mana:

What do we do with all our ramp mana? Obviously we produce more mana. For this the deck has two main combos:

Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix and a way to untap her like Immobilizing Ink or Singing Bell Strike. Both plays need a little setup. With Immobilizing Ink a way to convert mana into carddraw is necessary and Singing Bell Strike starts working as soon as you have drawn seven or more cards this turn. Ways to achive this are listed in II.B

Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake produce mana as soon as they are together on the battlefield. You can use Tooth and Nail to tutor them directly into Play.

.B Draw cards:

Sometimes there is no possibility to achive mana right away. To find combos there are diffrent tutor in the deck, but even without them you can easily see many cards in a short time. For this manasinks as Sphinx of Magosi and Mystic Archaeologist are in the deck. Ponder and Dream Cache are great setup cards for both your commanders, but also can help finding the necessary pieces.

Drawing all the cards:

So let`s say you have achieved mana. What to do with it? Well cast spells obviously. But with mana you also would need spells to make up for it. For this reason the next step is drawing cards. Thrasios, Triton Hero is a great option for this, but there is also some backup, as mentioned in II.B.

After drawing your whole deck you now could cast all your spells or you cast Thassa's Oracle and …

Backup Shaman

A nice backup win (maby you got stopped or it is a random fit) is Shaman of Forgotten Ways. I love to include this Card in green decks and I already stole many games with it.

No one expects the switch to combat damage.

Some disclaimers

This is not an optimal build. I have some petcards of mine in here like Rashmi, Eternities Crafter or Empress Galina. Feel free to fit it to your needs and leave a comment with suggestions.

Also I`m not a english native, so feel free to leave corrections...
