"treefolk shaman typal under atla palani"
Makin atla palani for treefolks and shamans. This description is a mess right now and I am working on a better explanation on the side. The sideboard is cards I tried out and cut and the maybe board is cards I am thinking about putting in the deck.
Aight, a bit more on this. This deck looks to use support from [[atla palani, nest tender]] to make a better treefolk deck. I also went nuts with the theme, and decided to also add in shaman tribal cards to create one of the first ever treefolk shaman typal deck. Thanks to atla palani needing eggs, several changelings are mixed in, which also count as treefolk and shamans.
Atla Palani is _the_ commander for big weird creature typal. Checking EDHREC, some of her top themes are dinos (which are powerful on thier own) and wurms. This highlights atla's ability to help out big dumb types that don't synergize well, have few lords and are mainly in green. It just so happens that the type very near and dear to my heart, treefolk, checks all these boxes. I also saw an article on a deck that used shapeshifters to double trigger [[rin and seri, inseparable]] and I wanted to try the two creature typal deck. Including treefolk and shamans (and treefolk shamans) under a legendary shaman, who then also cares about the changelings (or eggs) we are playing, was the perfect excuse to use this cool commander.
While the deck looks like a mess right now, it actually plays decently. I have tested it in a couple dozen games so far and it will actually pop off a decent amount of the time. I play in a lower removal playgroup, but this deck is teaching them the importance of removal on the mana artifacts. Untapping with [[Mana Echoes]] can result in upwards of 40 mana in a turn. [[Cryptic Gateway]] can also use four creatures to put out three more if you are careful about sequencing the creature types correctly. One of the big stars in the deck is [[Mirror Entity]]. It turns out pumping 6 creatures to 10/10 is quite effective player removal. I am quite happy with the deck right now, especially with [[Nemata, Grove Guardian]].
There is one combo in the deck using treebeard, scurry oak and essence warden. These three being on the battlefield will let you gain as many tokens and as much life as you choose.
Of course I am still working on the primer and I will keep updating this deck list as I play more games with the deck.
