Budget upgrade of Quantum Quandrix Precon.
I moved the cards i cut from the original precon to the Maybe-Board and cards that i genuinely found useful to the Side-Board. Our beloved Commander Adrix and Nev, Twincasters doubles the tokens we create, so our strategy should focus on creating as many tokens as possible. :D
We archieve this goal by maxing out the token multiplier with cards like Panharmonicon or Strionic Resonator, which allow us to trigger the ability of our Commander multiple times. Furthermore we run cards to create token copys which we use on our token creators (e.g. Scute Swarm,Avenger of Zendikar, Hornet Queen) or etb creatures (e.g Llanowar Visionary, Mulldrifter, Elvish Visionary), triggering their ability multiple times.
Quick Math:
Adrix and Nev, Twincasters + Panharmonicon:
(× 2 × 2) = × 4 Token Multiplier
Adrix and Nev, Twincasters + Panharmonicon + Strionic Resonator:
(× 2 × 2) × (× 2 × 2) = × 16 Token Multiplier
Sadly most of the time we won't be able to have our full combo on board and a stagged Token Multiplier of × 16. But let's assume we have a lucky game and all of our opponents can't remove our pieces on board (or we have Heroic Intervention in hand lul).
How many Insect Tokens do you think we can get with Adrix and Nev, Twincasters + Panharmonicon + Strionic Resonator (× 16 Multiplier) on board and Hornet Queen and Mystic Reflection in hand?
1. We play Hornet Queen.
2. Before the etb effect resolves we play Mystic Reflection targeting Hornet Queen.
Quick Maths:
Hornet Queen creates 4 × 16 = 64 Token copies of Hornet Queen, resolving in
64 × 4 × 4 = 1024 Insect Tokens with flying and deathtouch. <(O_O)>
To provide you a quick overview of the deck, I put the cards I included in different categories, which will be listed here:
(Note: Don't be confused that the sum of all card is more than 100 because most of the cards fit in different categories.)
In this category I put all cards which can in some form create Tokens. Being the most important part of the deck I included 27 cards total. For budget reasons I excluded some of the better Token creators like
Faerie Artisans,
Arachnogenesis or
Tendershoot Dryad. Not much to say here we need Tokens to be able to double them. Without Token creators our Commander becomes useless.
We run 14 cards which can create token copys. Most of the cards will only copy our creatures, but some cards can even copy artifacts/entchantments or our enemie's creatures. Remember that with
Adrix and Nev, Twincasters we get
× 2 as many copies. This type of cards synergy heavily with etb-effects, triggering them for any copy created. Furthermore we can use these copy cards to copy our Token creators, creating even more Tokens. With
Panharmonicon we will not only trigger the ability of our commander twice, resulting in quadrupling the amount of Tokens created, we will even trigger every etb effect of each copy twice. By using one copy card we would create 4 Token copies, triggering 8 etb-effects. Isn't this fun? :D
Most copy cards we run can only create Token copy of our creatures so we have to reliably take advantage of this. And the best way to do so is to include cards with Enter-The-Battlefield-Effects which will create additional value when beeing cloned. And if we get unlucky by not having any copy spell in hand they still generate value by themselves. Even cards like
Elvish Visionary, which seem weak at the first glance, can generate us some impressive value.
We want to play our Commander as fast as possible, so we need to ramp at turn 1 or 2. Therefore I included 8 ramp cards with cmc 2 or lower to increase the chance of playing our commander on turn 3. Additionally I included ramp cards which synergy hard with our Commander and provide us some really potent value.

When we cast it with our Commander on board we get
× 2 as many Treasure Tokens.
Risen Reef():
When we cast a copy spell on it we trigger it's effect for each token we create. Additionally
Risen Reef being an Elemental itself, each created copy will draw/ramp us more cards.
Protection/Recycling Show
Our deck being extremely vulnerable to boardwipes we need ways to either protect our creatures, recover our board state or recycle key peaces to our hand.
Our main wincon is to create a bunch of Tokens and buff them to the point where they can simply overrun the whole table at once. Sometimes this can happen rather suprisingly so assume that you won't make any new friends when playing this deck. Overall cards that I put in this category either synergy hard with our commander and etb effects (e.g
Panharmonicon,
Strionic Resonator,
Esix, Fractal Bloom) or help us to buff our creatures (e.g
Earthshaker Giant,
End-Raze Forerunners,
Crashing Drawbridge). If we have a copy card in hand with a token multiplier x3 or higher we have an addition out of nowhere wincon with
Biovisionary. Furthermore Token creators with exponential growth like
Scute Swarm or
Biowaste Blob can win us the game in no time, if not dealt with directly. Personally I don't want to win every game with this deck, it sometimes is more fun to create as many
Scute Swarm Tokens as humanly possible. :D
