Instant (1)

Planeswalker (1)

You need almost all Mountains anyway in a Creativity deck, why not get the Valakuts?

Right now I'm trying a hybrid between the Planeswalker heavy traditional Emrakul/Emissary lists and the Valakut list. Also because it's not in my budget to get playsets of Wrenn & Six and Force of Negation to be "optimal."

Ideally on Turn 5 you cast a Creativity for X=2 for two Titans, first one gets two Valakuts, second one gets two Mountains, and you put four Valakut triggers on the stack. You're also capable of just casting Titan, and even Creativity for X=1 isn't the worst if you can shift into a removal heavy, controlling deck with two Valakuts online. The Planeswalkers offer a midrange plan as a backup. I'm trying Faithful Mending as a one-of to discard excess lands from Wrenn and to gain some life back with this painful manabase.

My experience has been to play Shocks and save fetches for Dwarven Mines later in the game. I've cut down to one Triome each because they're awful to draw or have in the opening. It's great to sequence them in but ideally I get them both off a Titan trigger. If possible don't get Dwarven Mines off of Titan because Titan forces the lands into play tapped and you only get the Dwarf token if the land comes in untapped.

Round 1: 0-2 vs. Mardu Midrange/Reanimator -Opponent was on Horizons Tribal/Rakdos Midrange/Food Reanimator blend. Ragavan and DRC, with Saga and Cookbook, to discard Griselbrand and Emrakul, to reanimate with Goryo's Vengeance. With White for Prismatic Ending. Both of my hands didn't have the right type of interaction, and both games were over quickly. It's a matchup I possibly should have been able to win, had I mulliganed to the right cards. But having to answer everything might've always been too much.

Round 2: 2-1 vs. Sultai Control -Opponent might have borrowed a deck, they had a Sultai Snapcaster control deck with some new cards but nothing super powerful. I lost game 1 just due to the fact that I drew 10 lands and none were Valakut, so I was doing nothing and couldn't remove a single Dauthi Voidwalker. T3feri showed his value in games 2 and 3, and in both games I was able to resolve a Creativity for X=2 and my opponent conceded.

Round 3: 2-1 vs. Jeskai Stoneblade -The removal bonanza worked out, it was close but I was able to deal with all SFMs, Ragavans, Batterskulls, and Germ Tokens. The fact that Titan fetches enough lands to recast itself made my opponent's JTMS embarrassing. Eventually Valakuts came online and Titans resolved, which my opponent couldn't really come back from.

Round 4: 2-1 vs. Eldrazi Tron -Game 1 I did not keep a good opening hand for the matchup and my opponent got in with a fast Reality Smasher that I couldn't interact with. Game 2 I managed to resolve a Creativity for 2 and shut my opponent out. Game 3 ground on for a long time since I drew both Valakuts without finding Creativity or Titan. We were both extremely tired and making misplays (Opponent forgetting his Warping Wails, me not counting my Mountains and planning as though my opponent had cast a Liquimetal Coating he tutored for, when it was still in his hand). The strength of Sunset Revelry came though, I actually got every mode off in one game thanks to my opponent's pain-free manabase and me incentivized to spend removal and make crab tokens.

I may tweak the main to fit in another White source and mess with the sideboard to fit a Supreme Verdict in. Aside from Fire, all the removal is 1-for-1 and without hitting an Expressive Iteration it can be hard to fight through decks going wide when I don't hit Creativity. Larger creatures can still be an issue. That would leave clue and treasure tokens in play, and I can get creatures for free with Dwarven Mine.
