How about Dimir Machinations instead if you want to double for Transmute of CMC 3.

Honestly, I don't understand why Perplex is in here. It is a single counterspell and if you draw it late game, your opponent may not have a hand or nothing important. Only using one counterspell in the commander format seems a bit weak, especially this one that provides a way out.
