Blood for the Blood God!

Uhm... I mean... Ah whatever good enough.

What is the idea here?

The deck is fairly simple and can be summarized as: Zombie good stuff, now let's all sacrifice something. Originally this deck started out as being almost purely focused on Thraximundar, sacrificing things, and smacking some poor opponent in the face. Sadly that didn't work out, because a no protection having 7 mana Voltron commander in Grixis colors seemed to be a bit too slow.

To remedy the decks flaws I had to reel the Voltron stuff back in, and make a more reliable deck as shell for Thraximundar to perform in. A solid package of zombie midrange, synergizing card draw, and a bunch of mana rocks, is what currently counts as the "shell" in my eyes. They protect me and fight for me, as I work on ramping to the undead hordes leader.

Some of the perfect options for this deck are the typical black "every player sacrifices" cards, like Fleshbag Marauder and Plaguecrafter. They not only help early in the game when we might need to get rid of a threat (or to just have a blocker up), but towards the end they are still relevant and even synergize with the commander.

And once we finally get Thraximundar out we can set our eyes on an opponent and casually choose to latch onto them until we either win or lose. Counters start flying whenever we get to play a Fleshbag Marauder while we have token:Thraximundar on the field. A few cheeky inclusions help us deal even more damage with our commander, one of my favorites being Lizard Blades. The strongest option when we have Thraximundar out is still the combo with Animation Module + Ashnod's Altar + Thraximundar .

This deck still needs a lot of fine tuning and help, so any suggestions are very appreciated.
