This deck has evolved from a U / B poison/infect deck (With the classic Skeleton Ship as commander, always good for a few laughs) and a G / B poison/infect deck (with Glissa, the Traitor as a commander).

What my UB deck lacked was big creatures and what my BG deck lacked was card draw and evade. The commander Damia, Sage of Stone ensures middle and late game card draw: that's when you need it the most with this deck.

While Glissa, the Traitor is still in this deck, Skeleton Ship has been sideboarded. I was sad to see it go, since it has such nice flavour and synergy with other cards but its impact on the game was just too small. Glissa allows you to return valuable artifacts to your hand (it is a sad fact that your opponents will try to destroy your artifacts).

Key to this deck is the ability to make creatures unblockable, the distribution of -1 and infect counters and drawing many cards from middle game onwards. You only need to do one infect (poison) damage to a player to win: just let 'the wound (poison counter) fester' with proliferate. However, you will need to keep the hate (directed to you) and the creatures at bay.

I have discovered that you only need to do one infect damage to a player in order to win this game. Rogue's Passage and Minamo Sightbender ensure that you can make your creatures unblockable.

However, just sitting there and waiting is boring for all players, so I packed this deck with more action: * Phyrexian Hydra, and Putrefax. Blowfly Infestation ensures that the -1 counters do not go to waste when your opponents' creatures die, an effect even more devastating with Crumbling Ashes.

• Diabolic Tutor, Demonic Tutor and other tutoring effects ensure that you can search for valuable cards such as Contagion Clasp, Contagion Engine, or other proliferate cards.

• Glissa, the Traitor ensures that you can return destroyed artifacts to your hand.

• Howl from Beyond is devastating in this deck: it has the potential to take out a single player in one fierce blow.

• Sylvan Might and especially Rancor recur and give trample.

A note on the side board: Planar Portal, Ring of Three Wishes are awesome cards, but with the massive card draw of Damia and their hefty activation cost I did not use them much.
