This is my take on the Phyrexian powered combo engine that is Necrotic Ooze. The deck has two goals; Fill the grave with combo pieces and if you get sniped... overrun the enemy with infect, trample, or just good old-fashioned math. When in doubt... apply Big Chungus.

So the key pieces are Necrotic Ooze, Phyrexian Devourer, and Triskelion. The combo is simple- Your ooze exiles cards from your deck and damages the enemy for the CMC. To wit; We run a suite of graveyard dump, sacrifice outlets, mana dorks, and reanimate triggers for days. If the stars align you can complete the combo on turn 2. Let's chat, please step into my office of deviance while I pose a hypothetical... Turn One, you've drawn Three land with at least one black source, Buried Alive, Dark Ritual, Exhume, and Sol Ring. What you have here is what we call in "The Biz" a "winning hand". Turn One proceeds into Swamp as land for turn, Sol Ring, Pass. BDE right there. Turn Two, ignore what you draw and proceed to end the game. Land for turn (no color pref), Cast Dark ritual. 4 Black and 2 colorless available. Cast Buried Alive targeting, you guessed it, the Combo Boiz. Leave yourself One black and One colorless for Exhume. Cast Exhume and begin to machine gun your enemies for a potential 124 damage. Now bear in mind while day dreaming about getting revenge on a table who's done you wrong... that's ideal conditions. In my experience; if you have not combo'd off by Turn 4, you will likely hit the combo with 60-80 CMC reliably.

Now what if things go poorly? "But Hermes, what if I play with filthy blue players who hate fun? What if they stifle triggers or force of will?" Well, we can deal with those people. Assuming they let your Ooze hit the field, you can "in response" continue to mill cards. If they stop one of the combo pieces on the stack we have ways to make them hurt. Assuming a counter hits your initial combo you can rely on Meren and her Cadre of mana dorks to get you back on track until you get another reanimate.

How about worst case scenario? That person, you know the guy, is running Leyline of the Void and mulligan'd aggressively for it. Well we let that person have his fun. He will find himself against an angry army of ever increasing threats. We don't just run those Eldrazi for the CMC damage. We have Eldrazi, Praetors, and fekkin' forests ready to rise up and attack. When the time is right, engage the enemy, and you will surely... Triumph. Get it? Did you even READ the decklist before my description? Triumph of the Hordes will be your usual "easy out" to clear a table. You can flood the board with anything from dorks to Praetors and swing wide with Infect. Not bad, eh?

In the end all it takes is a little patience and some luck from good ol' RNGeesus.
