Flavor Description: Purphoros, God of the Forge. He serves as the blacksmith of the gods and is now yours to command, Planeswalker. His followers, yours. They will all help you. Goblins, Humans, Elementals, and more...Summon his worshippers dealing damage to everyone around you as they enter the battlefield. Purphoros proudly creates the mechanisms you will need to run an efficient army to overwhelm and burn the enemies to the ground. As long as you keep Purphoros by your side you will always have The Will of Fire.

Small Deck Description: Do you like simple decks? Straight forward? Has anyone ever told you that bUrN cAnT bE dOnE iN cOmMaNdEr? Well, look no further for you have found a deck that is right up your alley. This is a very simple deck. You cast your general on turn 4 at the latest and burn everyone alive. Okay, there is a little more to it than that. You need to use your creatures as a source for a wide range of abilities that go from protecting yourself to removing permanents or doing extra damage. You do not have to worry about this deck not being considered an aggro deck because of the number of creatures you will have on the field. Mind you this is still a mono-red deck so there are limitations but we use what we can to negate those negative interactions with our deck. There is a good amount of card draw or hand-shuffle to negate the low mana cost imbalance.

Fun Card Interactions:

  • Extraplanar Lens + 29 Snow-Covered Mountain : You imprint a Snow-Covered Mountain with Extra planar lens so you can get double the mana but your opponents cannot.

  • Skullclamp + ANY TOKEN : When you equip Skullclamp to any of your tokens they will die; so you basically pay 1 to draw 2 cards.

  • Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Conspicuous Snoop : With Conspicuous Snoop on the battlefield and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker revealed as your top card; Snoop will gain Kiki's tapped ability with haste allowing it to copy itself infinitely. If you have Purphoros, God of the Forge out as well then it will be infinite damage.

  • Grinning Ignus + Runaway Steam-Kin : Infinite bounce. If you have Purphoros, God of the Forge out as well then it will be infinite damage.

  • Grinning Ignus + Ruby Medallion : This not an infinite combo, but it lasts a good amount as long as you have a red mana to play.

  • Grinning Ignus + Hazoret's Monument : Hazoret's Monument is on the battlefield making Grinning Ignus cost one less colorless mana to cast (optional discard to draw a card). You have three mana (at least two red) and play Grinning Ignus for the reduced cost leaving one red mana open (possibly discarding a card to draw). Use the remaining one red mana to blink Grinning Ignus to your hand giving you one red and two colorless mana. Cast Grinning Ignus for the reduced cost (possibly discarding a card to draw.) You have one colorless mana left over.

  • Sneak Attack + Grinning Ignus : You have Sneak Attack on the battlefield and two red mana; then you play Grinning Ignus using Sneak Attack's ability for one red mana. Use the remaining red mana to return Grinning Ignus to your hand gaining one red and two colorless mana. Play Grinning Ignus using the one red and two colorless mana.

  • Molten Echoes + Grinning Ignus : You have Molten Echoes on the battlefield and four mana (at least two red); then you play Grinning Ignus. This will trigger Molten Echoes's ability creating a token copy of Grinning Ignus. Use your last red mana to blink the non-token Grinning Ignus to your hand giving you one red and two colorless mana. Use the red mana to blink the token Grinning Ignus giving you one red and two colorless mana (four colorless mana in total now). Use one red and two colorless mana to play Grinning Ignus to trigger Molten Echoes's ability. You have two colorless mana left over.

  • Play Goblin Matron or Imperial Recruiter then search for and play Goblin Recruiter. Search for Goblin Ringleader and 4 other Goblins of your choice placing Goblin Ringleader as the next drawn card. Next turn, draw Goblin Ringleader and play it putting the 4 Goblins you searched for in your hand.

  • Play Goblin Matron or Imperial Recruiter then search for and play Goblin Recruiter. Search for Conspicuous Snoop, Skirk Prospector, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, and Siege-Gang Commander then place them on top of your library from 1st drawn to 4th drawn in that order. Next turn, play Conspicuous Snoop and reveal Skirk Prospector (it does not have haste but can generate mana via sacking goblins because Skirk Prospector is revealed) so utilize your hand as best as possible. Next turn, draw and reveal Kiki-Jiki initiating the infinite token creation mentioned above. If you do not have Purphoros, God of the Forge out then you can create an appropriate amount of goblins via the infinte token creation and sack enough (via Skirk Prospector) to play Kiki-Jiki from the top of the library revealing Siege-Gang allowing you to utilize his activated ability (Sack a goblin to do 2 damage to any target) to kill everyone.

  • Play Goblin Matron or Imperial Recruiter then search for and play Goblin Recruiter. Search for Conspicuous Snoop, Goblin Lackey, Warren Instigator and place them on top of your library in that order as the next 3 drawn cards along with any other goblin creature you want after. Next turn, draw Conspicuous Snoop and play it. Reveal, Goblin Lackey and play it. Reveal, etc....

  • Play Sneak Attack and use its ability to bring in either Goblin Lackey or Warren Instigator with haste. Attack with either card to deal damage and bring in 1 or 2 Goblin cards from your hand into play.

  • Muxus, Goblin Grandee is a beast of a card in this deck. It has a max potential of dealing 28 damage without any aid from damage doubling/tripling. In conjunction with Goblin Recruiter you can instantly win the game via setting up the Conspicuous Snoop/Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker combo.
