First off I just want to say that I put multiple versions of the same thing (Like 5 Heracles) mainly for playabilty reasons because it increase the chance that you'll manage to get one of those cards, but also becuase they aren't many one to ones in Theros. Most character are combinations of various other ones especially Heracles being one of the most famous heros.

Anyway here is a list of the weird picks for the deck and my justifications for their inclusions

1. Bruse Tarl - Geryon

2. Ikra Shidiki - the evil king who sent Heracles to do the trials.

3. Ordinary Pony - Couldn't find any sort of normal horse or stable card so I figured a pony would be fine

4. Golden Egg - Couldn't find golden apple lol

5. Tormented Hero - Like all most all Greek Heroes, Heracles was a rather tragic figure. Tormented by his mistakes and monsters

6. Elspeth, Sun's Champion - I feel Elspeth is a pretty good Heracles and probably who the creative team intended the Heracles to be. They were both chosen by gods to complete various trials.

7. Shrike Harpy - I couldn't find any sort of good birds in theros and the art seemed to work so I went with it

8. Torch Courier - It's the guy who helped Heracles by burning the stumps of the heads
