THE DECK IS DONE!!!! —May 3, 2015

The Slimy Druid of Death is now a finished deck. Many hours of playtesting later, with many alterations done, this deck has no way of improving beyond what it is currently at. This deck will consistently win turns 3-6 against even the most competitive of other EDH decks. This deck is my personal enjoyment, I have foiled and pimped it out, and will play it at every possible moment. I will soon need to find another project to devote my time and money into, as this has taken up a lot of my mine in the past couple of months.

The next thing for me to do is to finish the primer on this site.

Muddle the Mixture as another counter or better a way to tutor Hermit Druid?

Izzetdimir any idea what I should swap it for, I've considered it before, but haven't figured out what to add?

I kinda want to say Venser, Shaper Savant. It's practically a very worse Remand. It's either that or Fact or Fiction/Brainstorm/Oracle of Mul Daya. I'm also wondering why you would want to use Burgeoning, Exploration and Carpet of Flowers when they are so specific? Wouldn't it be better to use things that can guarantee you mana rather than have the potential to be completely useless?

Good call Femme_Fatale, I'll swap Venser for Muddle the Mixture. I like the 3 green enchantments as they provide very consistent ramp. Though often a dead draw in the late game (if I have to go that far), but dropping any one of them on turn 1 will give me a lot of mana for turns 2, 3, and 4, at which point I should be able to go off.

Have you considered Mental Misstep. I think its highly viable in competitive EDH.

klone13 I have considered it, but it just doesn't do much in competitive EDH. A lot of spells are 1 cmc, but not enough for it to be worth more than the odd situation they have a 1 cmc that will cause you to lose the game. I need consistency and efficiency with this deck, and that card just doesn't cut it.

City of Traitors seems kinda not good. I get that it's ok with Crucible but wouldn't it bite you more than it help?

enpc this deck aims to dump a lot of land and ramp on the first couple of turns to allow for tutoring and casting The Mimeoplasm to win with a combo. Two colorless is incredibly helpful in getting that going quickly. After turn 3, I rarely cast a land, so if I drop it last, then I'll rarely suffer its drawback.

Kryzis The green upvoting button takes me to Epochalyptik's deck 0% Basic

April 18, 2015 12:34 p.m.

Lol I guess he copied the button code and didn't switch part of it out.

The button doesn't work based on the current page. Each button is set to always connect to a certain deck. You're going to need to customize it a bit to get it to go to your deck.

Epochalyptik wow, can't believe he was the first to notice that, just changed it.

Hey mate, you got a really nice deck here. +1 from me.

It's really tough helping you because your deck is perfect. The only card I could see that could ever possibly maybe assist in the distant future is Courser of Kruphix but, like I said earlier, perfect bro. Good job.

ohmless sorry about that, no hard feelings, I left some feedback on your deck to compensate, an thanks.

Asher18 thanks, I have been fine-tuning this deck for a long time, and I do think that it's probably complete. I have considered Courser of Kruphix, but with the draw and tutors I have, revealing top deck doesn't help me, and this deck doesn't need any life gain.

its all good. I understand since it took me about a half an hour to go through. haha

April 26, 2015 9:20 p.m.

Honestly, I have very little to say about this deck. It looks competently built and fun to play. I am not a great Commander player, since I play more Modern. If I could +1 again I would. I figured I would let you know for the sake of the Advertise your Deck thread. Sorry.

Shred Memory could be an interesting card in place of Phyrexian Arena. Tapping out just for card draw seems like a bad idea, and this gives you either a tutor or maindeck graveyard hate at instant speed.

so much expensive stuff i wish i owned lol. there isn't anything i can say to improve this, so +1 great job

lemmingllama, those card draw enchantments are really really useful. Nothing smells like competitive combo-control like the 3 most important words in magic: Draw a card.

Just a heads-up, the Primer's not showing.

May 2, 2015 3:15 p.m.

Yeah, and is Sidisi, Brood Tyrant or Soulflayer good in here?
