Build-a-Goyf —July 18, 2020

After some feedback from people worried that this deck might be packing too many small creatures to win via beatdown (which it doesn't need to do most of the time) I decided to add one copy of Cave of Temptation just because the mana base allows it and because recurring it with Tiling Treefolk can create some very funny situations. Other than that it's just another flexibility slot for the deck, because now it can actually win via beatdown, in case of some absurd situation where the opponent dealt with all three copies of pestilence and the two copies of syphon life. And you still, somehow, have creatures on the board, so it's time to play the "Build-a-Goyf" game!

Great build. It’s obvious a lot of thought was put into this one. Excellent breakdown in the description section.

Do you think you are drawing enough that you could throw in Gnarled Sage for a beefier late game beater? maybe just as a two of? I think this looks really awesome, and as others have said, the descriptions is very well thought out.

The Sage seems to be a great payoff for decks that run many cantrips, and if I manage to get a cycle land rolling it seems pretty good, the problem is that when it doesn't it doesn't look as good as Penumbra Spider, who manages to survive the first removal and also blocks flyers pretty well. Maybe I'll run some tests with it just to see if it's possible to run it in the deck. Thanks a lot for the feedback :)
