Fiend Artisan is our Birthing Pod stand in for this deck. It works out okay because we have extra mana to pay for Fiend Artisan from Gilded Goose and Birds of Paradise.

The main point of this deck is just to play a lot of independently powerful cards in addition to the Archangel of Thune and Spike feeder combo. Basically, all you need to do with this deck is get a Fiend Artisan in play or topdeck an Eldritch Evolution, then sac a creature to pull one of your many other creatures out of your deck to answer most any situation perfectly. With 37 creatures the toolbox and flexibility is huge. You can also grab Grist, the Hunger Tide!

Even if you don't get an early Fiend Artisan to stick around, there are plenty of solid threats to ramp into. Also, lots of great targets for Flickerwisp, Charming Prince, and Yorion, Sky Nomad.
