Feather, the Redeemed is the Super-Star of this deck. His ability causes 16 of our Instant spells to return to our hand after casting them, letting us use them over and over on both our turn and our opponents turn for value.

Dreadhorde Arcanist gives us further value from our 1 CMC Instant spells by letting us cast Path to Exile and Lightning Bolt form the graveyard, as well as letting us cast any of our other Instant spells that we cast before Feather, the Redeemed hit the battlefield. It also has an interesting interacting with Feather, the Redeemed . When you cast a card that targets one of our creatures from the graveyard with Dreadhorde Arcanist 's ability, two replacement effects go on the stack. Dreadhorde Arcanist wants to exile the card if it goes to your graveyard and Feather, the Redeemed wants to send it to your hand rather than your graveyard. Since they trigger at the same time, you get to choose the order that they go on the stack so just ensure that Feather's ability triggers first and the second trigger fizzles, letting you return that Instant from your graveyard to your hand after casting it. This means we don't have to hold our 1 CMC spells until Feather hits the battlefield. We can use them at our hearts content knowing that we can get them back to our hand and recycle them over and over later.

Young Pyromancer and Akroan Crusader let us go wide and just gives us bonus value as we cast our targeted Instant spells over and over.

As far as our Instant spells; we've got 8x protection spells that also Scry ( Gods Willing , Sheltering Light ), 8x cantrips ( Defiant Strike , Expedite ), and 8x removal spells ( Lightning Bolt , Path to Exile ). These cards let us dig through our deck quickly to ensure that we're landing creatures to gain bonus value from our spells.
