So I was looking into pauper and I noticed that Ivy Lane Denizen and Safehold Elite create an infinite combo. With this idea I ended up building the following pauper deck.

This got me thinking as to what else I could do with this idea, abusing ETB triggers and Commander became the obvious choice.I wasn't sure what colors to do but I for sure wanted WBG or WRG. I began to look for commanders that would fit with the deck and if I couldn't find one just pick one for the colors. Eventually I ended up looking at 5 color commanders which included Reaper King and that reminded me of the Persist scarecrows Rattleblaze Scarecrow and Wingrattle Scarecrow. I had a commander and a game plan all that was left was the deck.

The Combo Show

The basic combo the deck tries to go for is one of the cards under #Infinite-enablers paired with a #Persist creature and a #Sacrifice outlet. For example Ashnod's Altar + Juniper Order Ranger + Safehold Elite . Whenever Ashnod's Altar sacrifices Safehold Elite, it returns to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter from persist. Then we put a +1/+1 counter on Safehold Elite from Juniper Order Ranger's trigger which cancels out the -1/-1 counter, which creates an infinite sac outlet. Ashnod's Altar gives us infinite colorless mana but with the infinite ETB triggers we can do a lot of things with cards such as Impact Tremors, Aura Shards, Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper, Altar of the Brood, Healer of the Pride, or Soul of the Harvest.

This one combo allows us to do just about anything!
